I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sugars came in a large glass jar, with resealable gasket. It was larger than I was expecting and THANK YOU for putting it in a glass container. In the jar, the sugar was a bright color and tasted less "chemically" than other colored sugars. My only criticism is that when the sugar was baked, it lost much of its brightness. Artificially colored sugars lose some of their brightness, but this was more significant. But really, who cares? Unless you're making commercial baked goods (I am not), I would trade the natural ingredients for a some brightness any day of the week.

Great look and taste good too. I love that there isn't any dye in the product(just naturally occurring beet). The only con is the price... Also, I didn't need such a large quantity... I just needed a small amount to sprinkle on my green Christmas tree cookies.

The color was NOTHING like what was pictured! The green was not bright at all and looked more like a dull brownish green. Very unappealing.

BUT - to get a green sugar for our holiday cookies with no artificial coloring - I'm happy. I hope they can develop the green to a darker more holly green, or pick a better name ;-)

This product is colored with "red radish" and when you open the package it smells like there are actual radishes rotting in with the sugar. I tasted a few grains and it's not sweet, just "off." DO NOT BUY. It's worth it to pay for India Tree colored sugar--it smells and tastes great!
