The most awesome pencils
Wow. I am super impressed with these pencils! I really did not expect to like them as much as I do! The colors are vibrant, the lay down is great and you can get a darker shade without putting a ton of pressure on them. If you cannot afford Prismas or Polychromos, these and Marcos, will make you happy. People kept telling me I should get Prismas or polychromos---I cannot afford The cons are, that while they do lay down nice, they are a little grainy but not enough for it to really matter, just go over your strokes a tiny bit, before you move on to the next section. The other con is I wish wish wish they had more colors! This 48 set is nice but I wish they had a 72 set! That would be awesome! I am definitely purchasing another couple of sets! P.S. I am not being paid to endorse these pencils and I did NOT get them at a discount for my review......and wondering how so many of these people on her did and how I can do it too! :)

Glides on smoothly, wonderful colors, and great price
I have used several different brands of colored pencils and these rank among my favorites. They are softer core pencils, which mean the colors apply easily and blend together beautifully. I haven't had any issues with sharpening: I get a nice sharp point and the wood doesn't splinter. I love having the color name on the pencils even though I don't necessarily choose which pencil to use based on the color name.I initially hesitated to buy this set of pencils because of the color assortment, but it turns out that's one of the things I like best about this set. The peach and brown colors really work for a variety of skin and hair colors, which can be hard to find without purchasing a special set. This is currently my go-to set of colored pencils, and I will happily buy them again when they're gone.

A step up from Crayola
These pencils work pretty well, although as others have said the color can come out a little grainy and patchy, so you'll have to go back over the color sometimes in order to get it consistent. These seem great for shading, although I haven't used them for much of that yet, as I bought them for my coloring books. When sharpening, be VERY careful, as the tips do tend to break off a LOT when it comes to certain colors (the bright yellow was especially tricky for me, and I pretty much had to sharpen half the pencil away to get a good tip). The variety of colors is great, so if you're looking for a slightly higher-end batch of pencils, this is a great way to go. You get the colors and (almost) the quality of higher end products without having to drop so much money.

I would not recommend these. I have used both an electric sharpener ...and a manual sharpener, with the same results.
I have had more problems with these pencils than any others I have purchased. When sharpening many of them, mostly the green ones, it's as though they are broken inside, they get sharpened and then I go to use them and the lead is broken when I start to color. I would not recommend these. I have used both an electric sharpener and a manual one with the same results.

Great set of pencils Great for using in the adult coloring books.
Great value for good quality pencils. They lay down color very nicely and are easily layered for shading and blending. For those who are going into the adult coloring; or any other craft activity that if you had to choose between these and say Prisma Premier soft core wax base or Faber Castell's polychromos oil base pencils I would definitely recommend these as these are excellent value and much nicer on your wallet.I was given the opportunity to test this product free/or at a discount for my honest/unbiased review. All opinions are 100% my own and no way getting this product free/or at a discount influence my review in any way.

Disappointment after excitement
I recently received these pencils last Sunday along with a Prismacolor sharpener. They arrived in good condition, the colors were beautiful and vibrant, I immediately started using them. The leads were soft and glided smoothly over the paper, I was really pleased, until I had to sharpen them. The leads broke off in pieces no matter how softly I pressed while sharpening, what a disappointment! ( I've included a picture with 2 other pencils I hadn't used yet for size comparison)At this rate I will have to replace these pencils soon, unfortunately it probably won't be Solabela pencils.Has anyone else who purchased these pencils had the same issue?

Pretty good pencils.
This set is not bad but it's not my favorite either. Then again, they're really affordable.First off, nowhere on the box or the product description did it say these are non-toxic, so if that's a concern for you then there are probably better choices. That said, they do apply color pretty well but I find it awkward that there are 9 green and only 6 blue. Plus three of the blues are very close in shade making it really easy to mix them up if you're doing a design that's mostly blue. The lime green is really almost lemon,a bit too yellow to really be a green, but now I'm really just being picky. They do erase a bit easier than my Prismacolor set, so that can be helpful.I haven't sharpened yet so can't speak to others' issues there. They feel pretty nice in the hand, like a normal old fashioned pencil.

Awesome colors, bright and vibrant
Awesome colors, bright and vibrant. The lay down is great, you don't have to apply a lot of pressure which for me is everything. I have to have a total shoulder replacement and using these pencils doesn't cause any stress. A very nice professional like product. I recently purchased a more expensive et by Prismacolor and was very disappointed. I never got the chance to use them because after sharpening the pencils the lead kept breaking. Would absolutely buy this item again. By the way, I am not being compensated for this review.
