Q: will this work for storing dies on a magnetic sheet?

They are kind of flimsy, even with magnetic sheet. Probably would work in a pinch. I use the Avery Elle stamp pockets for my die sets with magnetic sheet, and I use CD pockets for smaller ones, with or without magnetic sheet. If you were storing your stamps in these, then put the magnetic sheet in also they should be fine. They don't close so things can fall out.

Q: Will this product be big enough to hold a photo with 5 x 7 mat?

Yes, I use them for my acrylic stamps with a piece of cheap cardstock in it. So plenty of room I would think.
