I use these with a dip pen or with brushes. The colors are absolutely gorgeous! I especially love them on rice paper. At first I was disappointed that they aren't waterproof, but after using them for awhile, I've evolved my artwork to incorporate the bleed. The bleed makes for great washes that lightly color larger areas or give great shading effects. I love these inks! They give me different options than the Dr. Ph Martin's Bombay inks or other India inks. A really nice addition to my art making supplies. I don't have experience using these inks in fountain pens, so no comment about how they work in that type of pen.

Seriously, Diamine inks are absolutely great if you like a nice juicy line. In the lighter-colored ones, there's a very visible variation in saturation, all in all making for very expressive writing, even if you're just jotting down some notes.The writing sample is written on a basic Leed's notepad, with Osprey phosbronze flex nib (and a generous ebonite feed to provide all the ink you'd ever need). Written at about 90% my normal (fairly fast) writing speed, since I wanted it to look presentable.The inks are great for wet-writing pens, and for flex ones, as you can see.All other inks in the set are equally good, so if you like the color selection, go ahead and buy them, you won't regret it.

I love this brand of ink!

First time I got four out of the six inks advertised. I returned them and asked for a replacement. The replacement only had three of the six inks. This is ridiculous. Dont order, 2 out of 2 times I didnt get what I paid for.

Well, it's definitely waterproof! It took 3 days to come off my hands. Fortunately my counter top was covered.I would like the red ink replaced.I bought it to give as a gift so I can't rate it as a good ink buy.
