This is a lovely set but I am disappointed with the plastic outer case. It feels sharp and a bit flimsy in places. I would have preferred a different material.The case has a carry handle on one side and a rough closing popper on the other. It is this popper that feels rather weak and it is inevitable that it will rip/fall apart as the plastic here is considerably thin. However, the case does close without it, so it isn’t exactly essential.The art set is beautifully organised inside with a great range of colouring mediums. Everything has a place and nothing is tricky to remove from its allocated plastic casing. The pencils are sharpened and ready to go, but not the writing pencil. I think I would have preferred a selection of gel pens to the oil pastels, but maybe an alternative set would be better than this one?Liquid glue is included in a tiny bottle. However, I did discover that the bottle is only half full. This is disappointing. The stapler does have some staples in it but there is no label to say what size staples it takes. I hope this is not a novelty stapler.This is a lovely art set with fab colours. It will keep my daughter busy, arty and organised! If the case had been made from a better material, such as wood or metal, this would be great. I also think swapping out the oil pastels would have been better and made this even more appealing to younger children.

Most kids love to draw and colour in pictures. There is a range of different ways that they can achieve this, and this art set covers just about every one of them. To be honest though, for £7.45 I wasn’t expecting too much.The set is stored in a vacuum-formed plastic case and secured by a simple pop-fastener. The range of colours hits you when you first open the case. There are several sections containing a range of colouring implements and accessories. The package contains felt tip pens, crayons, water-colour paint, pencils and oil pastels, all in a range of colours. Then you get a section that stores the accessories. This includes scissors, pencil sharpener, eraser, stapler, paper clips, brush, ruler, and glue. The scissors have plastic blades, so it will cut paper, but not skin. The stapler is too small to get fingers caught in it, so it should be safe too.There is a piece of vacuum-formed plastic covering the watercolour paint. Don’t throw it away, as it’s the palette for mixing the watercolour paints!Overall, this is a great and comprehensive art set for children. I hope that helps.

Unfortunately with them being plastic over time their usefulness will probably fade but here and now they do a good job.Overall for the money is definitely recommend this of you're after and art set. This is basically a rainy afternoon in a box.

It looks like a lot so makes a good gift to a child, better still, siblings to share.If you know the child has an art preference they may consider this is OTT and never use some of the drawing material. Most likely it appeals to the younger age, those who like to make merry with colours.It might also be considered a trial set - to discover whether the child likes water colours or pastels for example.In our experience, it is the felt tips that get used most.

Okay so the stationary isnt crayola worthy but for the price you get a lot of decent stuff. My 6 year old thinks he is a professional artist now he has his own special kit. Really useful for travelling to have all your media in one place and it can store a lot more than your average pencil case. The specific storage slots means that the crayons/pastels etc dont make a mess and draw all over each other. Lovely set to create lots of nice artwork. Definitely not for professionals but great for kids. Highly recommend.
