Drive started registering SMART errors 2 years, 2 months into minimal use and is thus out of warranty by 2 months. It wasn't the typical uncorrectable sector errors but rather drive throughput that dropped to 34% which makes me wonder if the drive's motor started failing.Ime that makes toshiba drives on par with seagate drives that also tend to die close to the warranty period but lacking compared to WD drives that can last years beyond the warranty period as long as you operate them under ideal conditions.
