250g Top Organic Jiaogulan Gynostemma Pentalhyllum 250g

This review may be a bit pre-mature, as I've only had a few cups of this tea, but my initial impression is that it has a very hay-like flavor when I used more than a teaspoon. When I used only a teaspoon in 8 ounces of water, the flavor was very mild and almost imperceptible, which may be preferable in this case.I didn't really buy the tea for its taste, though, I bought it for the medicinal purposes. It's definitely too early to tell what effects it may have in that regard.It appears to be a very raw and unprocessed herb.

Solid. Have to steep longer at near boiling versus other brands I've used, which is a little off as I've read to steep Jiaogulan at lower temps. Not very sweet so it makes me think it's not hybridized. Stringy like hay so it's a challenge pulling apart. Wouldn't be my first choice as it is more challenging extracting the tea.

This is NOT organic. All of the labeling is in Mandarin, so I can't read it, but since it comes from the most polluted country on the planet that has absolutely no standards, it is probably full of pesticides and heavy metals. I threw it away.

Came pretty fast considering it was from china. Steeped for 6 minutes taste a million times better then the Jiao in tea bags. Totally recommend to everyone who likes Jiaogulan. 享受.

Great tea for health. Is a longevity herb. It has a compound that works like metformin. The Chinese know their stuff. It is a traditional herb that works.

Something peculiar is going on with this product. Here at amazon I made this purchase from a vendor named "Bossini Chest" several months ago. I went to MY Orders to post a review and it took me to this vendor. I posted the review, which appears below. However, the review did not appear on the product page, and the reason given by amazon is that the vendor is supposedly no longer doing business here. But, my order history is telling me that I made THIS purchase, HERE. It sounds to me like the vendor simply changed their name. If I were you I would beware.of this and similar offerings."I've purchased gynostemma from various sources on the internet over the course of the last two years, and it has always been relatively consistent. Except for the handsome packaging in this instance, the product bears no resemblance. It is terribly bitter. The leaves even look different, both dry and steeped. Even the smell of the tea is different. What a miserable waste of money!"**Update: Kudos to Amazon for refunding the $25 from this purchase! It's usually very difficult for me to throw anything away, but the half pound or so of gynostemma that I purchased has gone into the trash.
