Kurt Adler 10-Light 8-Point Star Christmas Treetop, 8-Inch, Clear

We loved using this star on our 7.5' Christmas tree. Since the tree is rather full & triangular, the round shape and size of the star was a very good balance. The lights are truly a warm white, whereas a different Kurt Adler star we tried had very cool white lights, and seemed garish - we returned that star.

I looked at choices for hours, and landed on this beauty. The pictures don't do it justice, it looks like stained glass in person. It is all plastic, but feels thick and sturdy, but is also lightweight. It sits on top of our artificial tree easily, and straight. It comes with one of those standard green plastic cones to mount it, and a couple spare bulbs. When it arrived, one of the colored triangles had come loose in the box from shipping, but it wasnt damaged at all, and it is an easy fix. The triangles are all press fit in and not glued, so i just put the inner part in place , then snapped the outer point down into the frame. This will make it easy to take apart if you ever needed to replace a bulb, or if you wanted to upgrade to a 10 light led string in it. It only has about a 2 foot long cord, so you will need either a small extension cord, or it will plug into your standard light strings if they have the plugs at the end of their string. We have a 7-1/2 foot tree, and 8 foot ceilings, and the star fits perfectly, about 2 inches below the ceiling. You won't be disappointed at this price.

Looked great on our tree. I did have to attach it with ties because the base was to small to fit on the tree.
