Forget about the cheap display! It is virtually impossible to understand or manage. I use my cell phone stop watch instead. I am a fit, 215 lb, male. The machine is simply too easy to row. The resistance is too light! There is little or no resistance for leg muscles and simply not enough resistance for arms, stomach and shoulders. The seat rubs against the center rail as it slides back and forth. I used WD-40 lithium to stop the rubbing sound. I am contemplating attaching bungy cords to the seat to increase resistance. I propped up the rear leg about 10 inches off the floor to create more rowing resistance for my legs. Now it's like rowing uphill LoL. I think the machine was designed for ladies like the presenter in the rowing machine video. I should have recognized of that! Overall - disappointing.

I upgraded from a cheaper full motion rower from Sunny. After seeing how much I enjoyed it I bought this machine. The best part is the full motion arms, you can vary the muscles to target, keeps it from getting boring. It's got very good instructions and tools but it's heavy. Once finished though it's a solid machine for exercising. Have been using it every day for 3 months now and still very happy with it. Agree with others that the tension is not super heavy (I have it at maximum) but it's still a good work out. Very happy with purchase!

I was a little hesitant to buy this machine after reading some of the reviews. Mainly because of the pain it could be to try to return. However, When I received the unit (two days earlier than expected btw) I was impressed with the packaging and clear instructions from the start. When I opened it I was discouraged to see the hardware package was split open on one end and one of the bolts was missing. This is, in my opinion, due to the package being wedged into its place. Once I separated the parts out I found the missing bolt so no harm done. The unit is sturdy, quiet and the seat glides well. The tablet tray is one of the small perks that caught my eye but it could be a little bigger or adjustable to allow tablets with protective cases. I am looking forward to using this unit quite a lot.

I wanted a rower with moving arms rather than a center pull. This rower helps my shoulders with range of motion. I use it on the low tension setting; higher settings would be good for muscle building. Photos show how the rower arrives (after box is removed) and the parts ready to assemble. Tools were included, and I assembled it myself. It is quite large when assembled. I like that the seat is about chair height, easy to get on and off. It can be folded to put out of the way, but is quite heavy; I have not needed to store it. It can be separated into two pieces if needed (moving to a different home, etc.)

An avid runner but looking to change up my routine. I reviewed different rowing machines and decided on this one because of the full upper body range of motion and price. The settings for the tension control was appropriate for the level I was trying to achieve. Assembling the machine took less than an hour. Seating was slightly hard for me, I recommend wearing bike shorts or some shorts with padding. Overall the machine is a great purchase.
