Q: If I were in prison trying to slice garlic for sauce would this work better than using a razor blade to get super thin slices?

I believe that a good old fashioned razor blade would work best in prison since it may be used for multi-tasking. Just my humble opinion.

Q: What is the thickness if I want to slice garlic? Could it be adjusted?

It is perfect for garlic but is not adjustable. I love mine.

Q: I have the same difficulties trying to get really thin slices of ginger. Would this work on an appropriate sized piece of ginger?

Ginger is fibrous and too hard th slice with this.

Q: Is the plastic free of bps and bpa? thanks.
