Literacy Sight Word Swat

A big set of words is included and the swats. We use with my almost 6 year old son to learn sight words, sometimes they match his weekly spellings and so I pick specific words out. There are a lot of different words which means you can play it again without it being super repetitive. It's made practising reading words more fun and less boring after school. Would definitely recommend, and could play with an older sibling too. The set arrive in good condition and on time with quick delivery.

I absolutely love the concept of this game as it can be applied to lots of different content and not just the words that come with it. I’ve used the swatters for number recognition too.I was surprised at how many words it was supplied with. It has been a huge hit in helping my four year old recognise sight words and he doesn’t even realise that he is learning which is something that I feel quite strongly about. Learning should be fun and this game certainly is.

When it comes to learning common exemption words/tricky words, my son is very reluctant so I wanted something that was a little more fun. He’s a typical boy, so loves the fly sways and splatting then words. There are lots of words included in the game, many that he isn’t learning just yet but I’ve sorted through them and just using the ones he needs at the moment. I can imagine when using them all it could become a little overwhelming as there are so many. It’s not a game he would chose to play himself but he doesn’t mind playing it once set up.

A fantastic product that is perfect for helping your child to recognise words by sight. A fun way to teach word recognition; my daughter loves playing this game. It is great how the words are colour coded to link with the Letters and Sounds document as it enables you to know which words to focus on first. The product is excellent quality too and it will definitely last. A great product that I highly recommend.

Excellent game to help young children learn to recognise words, some of the categories are a little confusing, but that's fine. We've started with a small selection of the first level words to get our 4 yo used to them before adding more. We are home educating and phonics has not worked thus far, so we decided on a different tact. This game was suggested by a friend, the 4 yo loves whacking the flies with the swats and we have bought lots more as gifts for friends with small children!
