The Faerie Games (Dark World: The Faerie Games) Paperback – 30 Aug. 2019

Incredible story and a brilliant continuation from the previous series of books although from a new perspective I hope this series will provide many more books it's a brilliant story and amazing characters with a captivating energy that sparks the imagination from beginning to end.

So far I’m getting Hunger Games vibes from this story and I’m okay with that.I’m not sure if it was cause it was a broken read or if it was just too YA for me but I did enjoy it.The world building was excellent but I won’t be continuing with the series4⭐️

I wasn't sure what I expected from this book but it was brilliant. I really enjoyed this read and look forward to the next. It was well written and I love the writing style and stories about the Gods and the Spark of attraction between Selena and Julian looks like it's gonna be so amazing. Nice and easy to read within a day.

An amazing series of books. The entire Dark world Universe has captured my heart. Such an in depth world with lively realistic characters who can you follow over their entire lives. Faerie Games has given the ability to extend the world we fell in love with in the Vanpires wish and Angel Trials.

The story is good, like any of the other Dark World, and definitely meets expectations of the avid reader. But one of the things Madow does really well usually is maintaining a number of storylines from the perspective of different characters, and that excitement was missing from this book. It was too focussed in one viewpoint, and lacked the excitement of the previous Dark World books. Selena is an addictive character though!

Excellent, as with all Michelle's books. I love her style of writing and the way you get attached to all of the great characters. I really liked that ,although this is a series in it's own right,it follows on easily from her vampire series too.

Takes you to another world and keeps things fresh - till the end felt robbed by the ending

As soon as I started reading the book, I was gripped by the story. I look forward to finding out what happens in the next book.

I'm going to read the next book in the series before I review.That way I'll know if the story continues to be good.

Ich habe das Gefühl, dass diese Serie innerhalb einer Reihe von Serien spielt und ich mit diesem Box-Set mittendrin eingestiegen bin, oder vielleicht auch erst zum Ende.Diese Serie, die fliehen Spiele, ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert und es ist sehr toll, dass es nicht nur um einen Hauptcharakter geht, sondern um mehrere Charaktere. Die Geschichte einer bestimmten Person geht sogar in einer neuen Serie weiter.

This YA Fantasy novel (and series) came as a complete surprise to me as I’d never read a novel by Michelle Madow before.I wanted some “light” reading for the week but came away with so much more!The story immediately hooks me as 16 year old Selena Pearce is granted a birthday wish to temporarily leave her island home of Avalon to be magically transported to Los Angeles on Earth.While there, she meets dreamy Julian who tricks her as they both end up through a magic portal to the Otherworld where Faerie mayhem ensues and the Faerie Games begin.The author’s world building is solid with interesting historical facts thrown in.Told in the first person narrative which I love, I’m in love with the way author Michelle Madow can spin a tale. From characters you adore, to a plot you can appreciate, her concise writing with excellent comic timing leaves me both downloading ebooks and ordering hard copies of her other works online. While also listening to the various audiobooks.Patricia Santomasso does an excellent job as the voice actor on the audiobook version of The Faerie Games. Also, respectful shout out to the company Damonza for a book cover I could stare at literally for hours.I even joined the Michelle Madow’s Book Haven Facebook group to find solace in other peoples’ appreciation of her writing style.While I haven’t quite solidified what makes reading her novels so addictive I’m consoled by the fact that others feel the exact same way.I look forward to continuing to read this series as well as her other works.

It's an amazing book and I can't stop reading until I finished it. Iam so eager to start the other books of this series

I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written with such detail and emotion. The twists and unknown element kept me fascinated and completely captivated- I didn’t put the book down until the very last word.Can’t wait to see what happens next
