The giftee, 13-month old speed demon, got on it right away with the seat on...but he wanted to stand, so within a week the seat is off and he is flying around the house but helmet advised WITH gift!! It's sturdy and well made...perfect to get them started. A little sad it was too late to be used for a 'push trike,' but this kid learned at 9 mos that lifting his feet up going downhill can make him go faster. I see alot of premature gray hairs in the future for his parents, but it is very well made scooter and easy to put together.

My 5 year old loved her Micro mini scooter, so when it was time to buy our 18 month old a ride on toy, we thought this was pretty cool. Goes from a sitting ride on you with a low "o" shaped handle, then you can take the seat off for a little scooter, then put the other handle on for a full size scooter. So far she hasn't been super interested in the ride on aspect, but she does like dragging it around. A very well made product and extremely easy to assemble - as in a few minutes. Well worth the extra dollars to buy this over some cheap scooter at the big box stores.
