Ohlins HD 039 Shocks for 2006-Newer Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide with FREE Preload Settings!

Purchase to replace the stock air shocks on my street glide. My first impression was little difference in ride quality, thought they were improperly adjusted from certified dealer. First a nightmare to adjust and if you ride 2 up then go to 1 up or vice versa it takes a good 10 min or so. The ride is very stiff even when I dialed it way back. On the highway it seemed as if every bump was felt. Called factory several times spent many of hours trying to adjust with no difference. No refund after I found then way to hard. Now if you have a sportier bike than a cruiser it might be the perfect shock if your younger with no back problems. Bought the progressive 944, just love them. Now I ride hard sometimes and ride challenging roads (kancamagus, hurricane mountain ect. )so I want it all and the 944 are just a better fit in all departments for me and the street glide, Just my option.

I replaced my factory shocks with another good brand and they seemed to be good for a few trips but started getting weak. These are totally different and much better ride, bad part is they weren't that much more expensive. I really like them best.
