STRONGBACK Outdoors Director Chair - Portable Camping Chair with Lumbar Support - Heavy-Duty and Foldable

Our family has several strongbacks now. Several elites, patio chairs, low grav beach chairs, and now this Director Rocker. It's fantastic. It feels as comfortable, stable, roomy, and supportive as the elites....but with the bigger cup holder and side pockets and the rocking! Love it. We got the black, but that was to fit in with the rest of our collection (black elites); I think I'm going back in for the new blue next. These are great additions to our backyard patio set, but are easily brought along for the camping/kids' events trips.

I love the back support from this chair! I have a hard time sitting in most fold up chairs because I slouch too much and it kills my back. This chair is very comfortable. I also like how lightweight, but sturdy it is. I like having the table in front of me when I’m eating or trying to keep score books at games, but I had a hard time adjusting the table. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the table could use some improvement.

I ordered 2 of these chairs, one in blue and one in black. They are both nice and wide, extremely comfortable, and the tray is an added bonus (I didn't read the part that it has a tray when I purchased, so I was excited to see that!). The tray can move different heights and move different angles around the chair depending on where you want it set. The chairs are also lightweight to carry. We can't wait to add them to our camping and we will have to hide these from the neighbors during our outdoor meetings so they don't find a new home lol. I would purchase again

Last summer my folding lawn chair caused a lot of pain in my back, I set out this year to find one that is more supportive. I stumbled upon the Stongback Director Chair during my Amazon search. It came a day earlier than expected, which is always a plus. I ordered the black and grey option, I would have liked a few more color options, purple or pink.The chair is very comfortable, the lumbar support hits directly where it should on my back, the height of the chair is perfect for me, my legs are not dangling like they are in those fold up chairs. The seat width is generous, which I appreciate. I am not slouched down in the chair, I am able to sit up in a comfy straight position. Actually, I could not be happier with the feel and the comfort. It is a sturdy, heavy duty chair, and the base is solid, NOT legs pieced together with rivets and sitting on plastic disks like your typical fold up chair. I spend a lot of time at a rock bottom creek and those other chairs do not hold up.I am going to have to work with the attached tray and find a position that I like. Out to the side, seems to work better to me, swinging it in the front feels a little weird to me. I might appreciate that more if I am eating.

I have 4 strongback chairs and have loved these chairs for years. They are sturdy, well-built and provide excellent back support. When I saw the new Director Chair, I decided to try it in spite of some negative reviews about the table.I have been using it for a week now, and I have to agree with the negative side table reviews. The chair is great, but the side table is terrible. The side table support is on an angle, so it doesn't stay level as you swing it around. There is a leveling feature, but it won't stay where you put it. The friction lever that is supposed to hold the table in place barely holds, and if you put anything with weight on it, like your dinner and a drink, you can expect it to start sliding down. But it won't slide straight down, it will swing around as it goes, causing the table to tilt way down, dumping your dinner on the ground.My little cat climbed onto the table yesterday, and the table just dumped him on the ground. And the worst part (as noted in other reviews) is that you can only position the table straight out to the side. It is only level in that position or directly in front of you, which is totally useless for anything because it pushes right up against your chest. Maybe this is how babies feel in their high chairs, but it doesn't work for adults.Strongback chair designers are really great, but whoever designed this side table really screwed up with this design. I'm hoping Strongback redesigns the table and offers a retrofit for customers who bought the defective one. At any rate I plan to get my drill out, drill out the rivets holding it, and remove the table altogether. It's just too much of a hassle. Great chair, though.

This is the second strongback chair I’ve purchased!!! I am so in love with these chairs! I’ve had a hard time finding just the perfect chair for outdoors that is both very stylish and also incredibly comfortable!!! It’s also so very easy to fold up and take with you! It’s even wide enough for me and my grandchildren to sit and rock together!!! From the back of the chair, to the cushion, down to the rocker, this is a perfect chair!!

This is an excellent chair if you suffer with a bad back, as I do. I'm having work done in the house and had to move my recliner to temp storage. I've been using this as my main chair and it has been great. Not as soft and comfy; I also miss being able to put my feet up with a pull of a handle, but I have not had any back pain using this chair. It will be my camp chair for life. The side table is ok, butI have tv trays if I need a table.

My mother came to visit and loved the chair for the back support and ease of getting in and out. She liked it so much she asked me to order one for her. Easy to put in the car for sports games and solidly built. The rocker option is great for patios or decks as well.

The chair folds easily and provides good back support. The side table is very useful.
