A therapeutic book. Lots of natural solutions for a stressful life that like mine, needing happy outlets. All ingredients/instructions very simple. Particularly loved by housekeepers daughter and her friends. The perfect gift for a mate, partner or parent, since there is no big expense to buy materials - all can benefit regardless of financial circumstances. Sweetly illustrated. This adorable book obviously comes from the heart. Really enjoy having it available at the hotel. Has received good feedback from all here.

It looks well laid out and illustrated but I think it's the kind of book that needs to be held, flicked through, bookmarked and scribbled in. At the end of each section there is space to write notes and ideas so it's very much a practical book.There are certainly lots of activities and ideas for young children - indoors, outdoors, messy, clean-ish, quiet, noisy etc. All of them are clearly described. I tried the Moon Sand with my granddaughter and she played with it for hours, and there are lots of activities like that - cheap and easy to make but engaging for children (and adults!)Definitely worth having this on the bookshelf for ideas to keep little ones busy.

This is a fabulous book!!! I have to small children 2 and 6. They both adore the activity’s in this book. I would say I’m already a creative person, however I think even the most uncreative person would love this. It has great ideas for play. Both for children to do and you supervise with a hot cuppa plus ones for the whole family to enjoy. Most things can already be found within the home. It allows children’s imaginations to run freely. I have included a photo of the moon sand we made (so easy) and it’s been fabulous to see my girls united in play in activities suited to both their age groups. I also liked that there were no pictures, my daughter is a bit of a perfectionist and I loved that she had nothing to compare her project too. It makes you use your own imagination with no pressure to be like the pictures.

I brought this after watching a squishy soap video of Laura & Russel as I thought what an amazing, affordable, eco friendly way to get your children to wash their hands. This being very important with the current pandemic!The book offers fun, creative ways to play with your child in an educational yet imaginative way whilst recycling bits and bobs from round the house or using sticks, flowers from the garden.My daughter LOVED making nature crowns, we went on an adventure and picked our favourite flowers and leafs from the garden and created a crown which she wore with her princess dress all day 😃Highly recommend this book as it really helps to be get more involved in the activity’s with your children, it’s so easy to get distracted and ‘keep the kids occupied’ in these times but we choose an activity per day to do together while on lockdown and it is making the experience, well actually quite wonderful 😊
