Great addition for any workbench
I need to move my equipment and benches a lot, even if just for floor clean up. These work very well, even for a heavy bench. Moving/rolling is a breeze and locking down for solid ground placement is easy and secure. Adjustable at each leg for level after lockdown. For the money, these are well worth the cost and small effort to install.

Great product, easy install, heavy duty.
I bought these for a very heavy duty movable storage/ work table for my new pole barn. This gives 64-SF of easily movable storage thanks to the drop casters, I did double them up due to the excessive weight of the table, around 600 pounds. With the casters down you and easily move it around with one hand, great product! This one works do well in building a second.

Excited to finally re-arrange and clean under my heavy work bench
My work bench moved with me from South Carolina to Missouri, and is very sturdy (heavy.) I wasn't about to give it up, but moving it once was enough. Two moves later, I found this solution from BORA to mobilize the bench, while not affecting the height or sturdiness. I found a couple places to mount the brackets where I wouldn't be constantly stubbing my toes on them, and got started. Mounting the brackets 1-7/8" from the ground didn't go as planned in all cases as my posts were recessed behind front boards, so I needed to mount a 2x4 to the outside to attach the brackets. Once completed, I was very happy with the results. The wheel kits were the same as my PM-2550 mobile tool base wheels, so I was quick to assemble them (I had lots of practice.) I've reclaimed several square feet of my shop now, can clean easier, and reposition my bench based on the project. Ecstatic about the results...maybe too excited for something that may seem trivial to most, but as of right now, very satisfied with the choice of the BORA kit.

One down
Bought 4 for a work table, that does not weigh anywhere near rated capacity and 3rd time I went to move the caster separated at the rivet. Replaced with a local hardware caster rated for 90 lbs, waiting to see how long it and the remaining 3 last. If they sequentially fail, will update review.

Excellent sturdy metal with easy to follow pictured instructions
This product is made of heavy material that will last for decades! The instruction pamphlet doesnt' have written instructions but is very easy to follow and easy to put together. All 4 legs took less than 15 minutes to mark the holes, drill the holes and place the base and other pieces together. I would purchase this again with no second thought on quality or ability to lift and move large tables such as a wood crafting table. The wheels are smooth and able to handle the weight of the table. This is a great value for the amount posted. Thank you!

Cheap Casters. Incorrect Load Rating. Not a Good Product.
Updated 1/8:Third caster failed at the rivet.I'd stay far away from this product and wait for a revision from Bora.Original review:The mechanism works but the casters fail.I have a set installed on a 300lb workbench and the first caster failed after less than a week installed. That failure occurred while the caster was engaged and the other end of the bench was being lifted onto another caster.Bora was prompt to send a replacement caster which arrived about a week after reporting the failure before a holiday weekend. The second caster failed while being engaged on a different leg with 2 casters already engaged on the other side of the bench. It failed in the exact same way with the coupling bolting the caster housing to the swivel mechanism pulling the retaining washer and bolt through the bottom swivel plate. The flaw is that the bolt is permanently installed to hold the mechanism together by pressing it at high pressure against the mechanism it retains. This creates a weak point in the bottom swivel plate at the singular point where that component has to shoulder the full weight of whatever it is lifting. There should be a washer between the bolt and the swivel housing to prevent this but Bora cheaped out and didn't include this .04 cent part and because of the construction the mechanism isn't something you can repair or retrofit. It's literally engineered to fail and require replacement. If you check the construction of a proven high quality caster like this red one you'll notice that the swivel is held to the caster with a large nut and washer.Kudos to Bora for honoring their warranty but I have a feeling I'll be replacing casters weekly for the life of the product until I replace them with a properly assembled caster from another company.Don't buy this product unless the total load you intend to put on it is 1/4 the rated value and can be safely supported by a single caster.

Not up to industrial standards but very good for the price
As a mechanical engineer I design equipment for a living and I routinely deal with machine feet and casters. I recently integrated the Bora Portamate PM-950 caster set into a personal project and was favorably impressed with the product overall, although I think the company needs to do a couple things better. In my line of work, strength and function is most important "if it works good, it looks good" but Portamate seems to have nailed both function and esthetics at a remarkably good price point. The PM-950 seems to be made from 11 ga (.12) steel which is a adequately strong for the work-bench genre of applications they appear to be targeting. The fit and finish of the pieces is good and the powder-coating is very nice. The fasteners don't appear to be high strength but may be adequate for their intended use. They use self-locking nuts which is a mark of quality. Unfortunately they are only bright zinc plated rather than stainless, so they may rust over time particularly if used outside. Overall the mechanism is well designed, not flimsy or cheap and works smoothly. I mounted the casters to a heavy (~250 lb.) bench and they lift the bench easily and roll smoothly. Where I think the company falls short is in their poor documentation and lack of CAD model availability. The instructions don't even include the mounting hole dimensions, which is unforgiveable . I also called the company and they don't provide a .stp file for CAD integration. They will never sell to OEM's seeking to integrate Portamate's product into their own, but I guess that's not their marketing strategy. I had to purchase the product and reverse engineer it to get it into CAD.

A great addition to my bench
Made my red ironbark Roubo style work bench mobile. I tried to calculate how much it weighs, roughly 250 kg. They work perfectly. Just make sure there are no wood chips on the floor when you try to move the bench. The smallest chip will stop it!

Great product
Only thing : Wheels must be aligned with the pedal before drop down, otherwise it will jam in up position. Very happy overall

Defective paint job
Three of the four grey pieces which mount to the bench had paint defects. All on the inside surfaces. Have contacted Bora and am awaiting resolution.Have purchased this item previously this year from a local vendor (Carbatec) and was very pleased with it, hence reordering.

It's Done
Years ago I was given an old heavy gauge metal bench grinder stand- it's always been a pain in the south star pulling it out to where I needed it- and when I finally got it there, as it's a bit narrow, it tends to walk once the grinder is turned on- so I purchased these Bora Casters - It's not a wood bench so the screws were useless but the good news is I now have extra screws- assembly issues were of my own making- suggestion- measure 3 times drill once or measure once and drill twice- it's optional :) The only minor thing I ran into was the power coating on the brackets chipped off quite easily- but not noticeable once the casters were installed. I also made my own leveling feet and once I added them the project is now complete- I can move the unit anywhere and level it to whatever ground I'm working on. I'm a Happy Man- Thanks Bora!
