Heat Demon 210171 Single High/Low Seat Heater Kit

Installed this on my weekday commuter, a Honda Helix scooter. Install was easy, and the local upholstery shop only charged 20USD to restaple the seat cover when my hand stapler proved inadequate.Took the scoot out for a test ride on a trip to the store. With the seat on HI, there was substantial warmth in just a couple of minutes. And it kept getting warmer. By the time I made the two mile trip to the store my buns were well-toasted. In fact, if I had to go any farther, I would have had to switch to LO or turn off the seat - it was that hot. On the way back, I ran it on LO and had a nice and toasty bottom almost instantly.Now THAT is how HI/LO should work - HI = flame-on quick, hot heat; LO = toasty goodness for the long run.I cannot believe I have not seen more about this type of accessory - lots about grips, but little-to-nothing about seat heaters. It is amazing. I would highly recommend the Symtec Heat Demon seat unit for anyone who rides in cool/cold weather.Another reviewer only gave this product four stars because it go too hot. Mine did get uncomfortably hot on HI, but not on LO on my short test ride. I cannot comment on the heat of the LO position for a ride longer that two miles at this point.

The product is exactly what it's supposed to be and arrived intact. The only issue is it too so much longer to get that i would've EVER expected. I'm just glad it actually showed up. So the one star was based on the lack of timely manner. 2 plus weeks is unacceptable unless it's coming by horseback.

I installed my Heat Demon into my Harley Road Zeppelin rider's seat. Oh man, this is good (in my first cold weather outing). The heat comes right through the seat covering, my jeans, long-handles, and underware. Perfect! I've had it in there for a year. It is so good to have a warm bottom when riding. With my motor's heated grips and my heated jacket, the heated seat virtually eliminates the need for heated pant liner.Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the seat gets too hot. After about 5 minutes, it begins to be uncomfortable. In 10 minutes, I'm raising myself off the seat every 15 seconds or so. Then, I begin manually switching the pad off/on to regulate the heat. It's still good, but really needs a "maintain" setting that just slightly warm. Would have preferred a rheostat for control instead of the low/off/high switch. High position is great for quick heating. Low is too hot for long-duration comfort.Ken
