OKUMAInspira Carbon Frame Lightweight Spinning Reel, Blue

I am a Shimano Stradic guy. Got one of these okuma reels as a gift 3 years ago. At the time I had 5 Stratics. Now I have 2 Stradics and 5 Okumas. They are lighter and just as smooth. I was worried sand/grit would get into the open style body of the reel but my son put it down in the sand 100 times fishing from shore one day, and its fine 2 years later. I love the 20s, but the 30s and 40s are also just as smooth and long casting. very little spin/wind knots if any. Line fits nice and flat on the spool. I bought 2 more this year. Stratics are getting old, I will be all Okuma after this coming season. I use braid exclusively. Started maintenance on the 3 year old reel(30) and it was so clean I didn't change or add grease.

This is the best blend of strength and light weight at this price point I have found. Over three years of use in my fishing reel rotation and no problems. I do open it up and perform maintenance once a year since I fish over 250 days a year!

I purchased this Okuma reel on a whim because I needed a reel which could stand up to the multi species potential of fishing the inter-coastal waters of North Carolina. This reel did not disappoint. It has a smooth retrieve, and the strength I needed to land my fish.

Paired this reel with my okuma rod, 30lb braid, and hit the surf in search of perch. Was not disappointed, excellent product, highly recommend for all anglers, beginner to advanced. Very pleased...👍👍

Very nice lightweight reel. Very smooth drag system. Got it on sale which makes it even nicer.

Light weight fantastically smooth perfect size for my single handed throw from a kayak.

Smooth operation. Good value. Drag fairly easy to adjust with fish on the line. Anti-reverse switch is a bit small, and hard to feel for when in a hurry to engage. Otherwise, I would purchase again. Have 10 lb mono spooled up. 8 lb. Might be better. But 10 lb seems to work pretty well for bass.

Había pedido primero un daiwa fuego 1000 pero ya había tardado muchos días y no lo enviaban, lo cancelé y pedí este okuma. La verdad no me imagine que fuera tan buen carrete, se siente de alta calidad.Muy buen carrete para pesca UL. Lo tengo emparejado con una caña okuma celilo UL de 6 pies y línea de 6 lb. He sacado una buena cantidad de pescados, cocineros, júreles, cabrillas, róbalos de 2 kg, pargos, agujones. Me he divertido mucho con esta caña, la recomiendo ampliamente.

Nothing to dislike about it ,it casts great and is nice and smooth on the retrieve.

Used this reel alot for ice fishing this winter. Wanted something that had a little size but still light weight and had a smooth drag. This reel fit the bill perfectly. I used it for walleye and whitefish. Reel can hold enough 8lb braid to get me down to 115 feet. I highly recommend this reel for ice fishing setups.
