Casual Yet Very Elegant
I am writing this review for the Elliot Modern kilt tartan that is made by All Safe Trading. This is one of several kilt tartans that I've purchased from All Safe Trading, so as you can tell, I love their products. As well, I love that their projected delivery dates are pretty accurate, especially when I have to pay for delivery. They've been really reliable on delivery times. As for their casual kilts: they're bold colored, beautiful, lightweight and yet really elegant! The lightweight, 5 yard acrylic material lets the kilt move and the pleats sway like a formal 8 yard kilt does. The material is not heavy and stiff at all. It moves with you. It feels great on the skin especially if you wear it as tradition calls for...and I'm sure almost all you guys do wear kilts traditionally.Even though many guys wear casual kilts without a belt, hose flashes or even a sporran, I prefer them at all times because that's what makes wearing a kilt a little more special to me. Why not dress up a casual kilt with a nice waist belt and buckle and a beautiful sporran? I'm proud of my Scottish ancestry and surname and I enjoy "educating" people whenever I'm asked about my kilt regalia. However, I keep the best part secret when it's called for. Grandma at the liquor store doesn't have to know everything. Just sayin'.A casual acrylic fabric kilt can look and feel exactly like a heavy wool or even polyester kilt. Dress it up with a waist belt and buckle along with your sporran and nobody has to know your kilt is low cost. People expect that kilts and regalia are expensive (and even casual kilts aren't very cheap) so why not stand out like the champion stallion and let people be dazzled by your greatness?SIZING IS IMPORTANT: with the All Safe Trading kilts: order LARGER than you wear in pants and jeans. I made the mistake of ordering a 32-34 when I should have originally ordered 34-36. (I wear a 34 in pants so I thought to purchase "up to" a 34.) I did return the smaller kilt and purchased a larger one which fits perfectly and comfortably. The kilts have their own belt fasteners built in so you can adjust up and down for the right fit. Give yourself plenty of room for waist adjustments. That being said, I hope I help you make an informed decision about your intentions to purchase a kilt, whether formal or casual.

Very Comfortable, attractive, lays nicely
I love this kilt, Just had hip replacement, so I am wearing this everyday, even at the hospital, and works well. It is comfortable and non invasive, and nice to wear out as well. My buttocks is beefy and yends to push the kilt out a bit, however, this kilt sits well. I would reccomend a kilt to anyone getting orthopedic surgery (hip, kness etc. ) Extremely easy to take on and off, or leave on and you can wash everywhere.

Low-Cost Kilt
I needed a good kilt in a darker tartan, something not as gaudy as my County Tartan or my Tara. After all, Black and grey goes with anything. So I bought one of these in Granite. Now, a good 5-Yard kilt costs somewhere in the ballpark of 150-200 dollars. Some good PV Kilts even run a hundo. This isn't a high-end piece of Celtic attire here, but it sure is a good kilt for the price.Pros: Low cost, great color, comfortable, and somehow the thing doesn't wrinkle or come unpleated, no matter how much I sit on the thing. Drapes decently. It actually has leather straps and buckles. No velcro here!Cons: Strange material...wool-like in look and feel, but no idea how well it will hold up in the long run. A hair too short overall, but I wear it a little lower (below the navel) and it works just fine. Also, it's not really knife pleated, Just 8 large pleats in the back. Not that big of a problem, but trad folks might not like it.All in all, if you want a good casual kilt for whatever purpose, or maybe to attend a wedding, funeral, party or pub crawl, and you don't want to spend 150+, this is it! At least with this kilt, you won't care if you spill a pint of Guinness on it...especially if you drank it first!

Fast shipping Great tartan color
I was very satisfied needing this quickly for a Renaissance faire I didn't think I'd get it on time but was pleasantly surprised I received it a day before and it was Awesome; the kilt tartan color was beautiful and held up well at the fairgrounds and definitely keeps you cool on a 93 degree day. My on concern would be long term after I washed it as instructed it seems to be shedding in some places and few stitches seem to be coming in undone, but this could be a feature of the kilt vent.

Fits & looks accurate to pictures.
The media could not be loaded. Main concerns: I did not understand the tag on the back that said "Try your size & remove before use". Was it referring to the string or just the tag because the single string seemed like it was meant to be broken but then I realized it wasn't all one continuous string and maybe I harmed the garment?A small paper guide would have helped to clarify that and also the way you wrap the kilt. I include a video demonstrating the method to layer and then pull the single buckle tab through. It felt obvious to the design but I couldn't find the crease/hole at first which is good that it's seamless fit and sturdy but it was hard to spot my first round.Overall, seems good quality for the price I paid. I like the colors, seems sturdy to wear in public not just prop clothing. It sits on your hips/waist properly and it gives in the front of the garment not on the sides so your gut will be fine but your obliques will feel tight it's that's where you store body fat.I am 6'2" 160lbs and wearing size 34 waist
