Sunstar 509P Gum Summit Toothbrush, Compact Sensitive

I love this toothbrush, but. The sensitive is tooooo soft.I got these once or twice as freebies from my dentist's office after a cleaning and loved the way the brush is designed to keep the bristles at a 45-degree angle to give the best cleaning. Or so my hygienist said. The checkups after I used this bush (I used it in the a.m. after using my Soincare and flossing, and as the brush for before-sleep cleaning) involved much less scraping. The hygienist said she could tell a huge difference in the amount of plaque under the guns.Unless one has an ungodly sensitivity issue, I'd say get the super soft or soft versions of these.But my experience is that this brush does an awesome cleaning job under gums and between teeth that no other manual brush has ever done for me.

I first got this from my Dentist, who gave me this exact brush. She said I was brushing too hard, and recommended a softer brush. The first time I used it, I wondered how it would clean anything... I literally could not even feel it in my mouth. Over time, I noticed that my teeth were cleaner and whiter than other brushes (mostly electric) I previously used. My gums were improved and my mouth feels better overall, and at my 6 month cleaning, the hygienist said I had no plaque!! (this is amazing, I always had calculus before).I think the softness actually helps my teeth to re-calcify, because I'm not scrubbing away any new tooth surface. I'm definitely noticing an improvement in overall tooth health. The only downside is that the bristles are so soft the brush wears down faster than harder bristles. Given how much dental care costs, buying toothbrushes a bit more often is much cheaper and in my case, I replaced electric toothbrushes with this, it's even bigger savings!

My gums have become very sensitive.as I have aged. This brush is the softest so far that I have found, but you still have to use it right and not press too hard. These soft brushes have very fine bristles that can still cause discomfort, but like I wrote this is the best so far.

I was given one of these sensitive bristle toothbrushes at my orthodontist's office and I must say they are the best toothbrush for braces! I also use a sonicare brush but that cannot reach as many places so I use this as well. I have lingual braces and they are placed rather close to the gum line which a sonicare can't get to. Here is the uniqueness of this Gum sensitive bristle brush....not only is it really soft and pliable, but it has longer hairlike bristles around the edges which REALLY get in the brace brackets well and do it safely (I don't want to break a wire or bracket!). After using, I can see why the orthodontist has these to give. They're fabulous for my needs!

Although this is my first time ordering these, I've used them for years.They're so gentle on your gingiva as well as your teeth and other oral mucosa.I'm a brusher. It's what i do to relax and have since I was a child. I definitely don't recommend being an over brusher. If, however, you're like me and find that this is how you self soothe, I definitely recommend these super soft brushes. Protect your original equipment. You won't get it back.

The head of the brush is tiny and you have to brush longer to get the whole tooth... and I have small teeth. I threw them out

I have always used another well-known brand of toothbrush, but was given a Gum Summit toothbrush to use after gum surgery. The bristles are incredibly soft and different lengths, and I feel as if I can reach all surfaces of my teeth more easily. My teeth look and feel cleaner. I actually recycled my other toothbrush, which now feels harsh and stiff on my teeth, even though it is a "soft" toothbrush.

This is the brush that our dentist *used to* give out and I really like it. I don't like the new ones they have.This is soft enough for sensitive teeth and gums but gets the mouth clean. Also, the smaller size is perfect for my mouth. Easy to hold.I was glad to find them on Amazon since I couldn't find them locally anywhere
