50 Pieces Diaper Pins Safety 2.2 Inch Plastic Head Cloth Diaper Nappy Pins with Locking Closures Stainless Steel with Velvet Bag(Blue)

Why purchased: I had previously bought a packet of black safety pins identical to the structure and size of these. I liked the festive colors of these (see pic).Use: My primary use is to tie the back of my chemo cap ties for the right size. But also keeps pairs of socks and pillowcases or towels together or sheets to the mattress. No babies so not tested on diapers. They are pretty stiff and sharp and can do the towels, haven’t found (tested) a firmness and thickness that failed, not that they are awesome, just limited testing.Structure and function: See pic, verified that they are 2” (~50 mm) in length. Stainless steel, limited exposure to water (laundry) thus far but no rust to date. See pics but oddly, these are made to use by left-handed users. If held in the right hand, the opening for inserting the pin is out of site on the bottom. I find in my uses thus far the metal part of the pin is sturdy enough and sharp enough for what I have used (as described above). I like the festive colors. I have about 20 of the pins and (see pic) I have one of the plastic ends crack. The plastic cap does have a seam around the end crack so maybe not a surprise that the pin could break through as the pressure from the pin is firm enough to keep closed.Overall: One-star deduction due to breakage, but maybe a “one off” will continue to monitor. These work great for anchoring duvet ties. I like that they have the safety catch, so I am not worried about the pin popping in the middle of the night and poking one of us. The pins seem pretty sturdy and sharp. They are very easy to push through my comforter, no bending at all. Lots of pins for the price.

These look like the diaper pins that we all knew and loved, but it's obvious that the plastic is way lighter and the metal a bit thinner. They did what I needed, but I would definitely not consider them industrial strength like the ones we used to be able to buy.

I absolutely love these pins, they don't pop open, they are very sturdy and exactly what I was looking for.

These worked fine for what I needed. I used them for pinning napkins to make “diapers” for a baby shower. It was somewhat difficult to push the pin through the folded napkin, so there would be no way this pin could go through a cloth diaper. It may work fine if you were pinning a regular pamper (for whatever reason), but don’t expect the usual sharp diaper pin. Also, a little expensive for the quality, but you do receive a nice little pouch where you can store your pins. Also the blue color is pretty. They are not baby blue, but it’s close enough that it worked just fine with our shower decorations.
