Very long lasting heat
I bought one box to try it. I am doing bbq quite often. Coal got initiated easily with char coal starter tool. Provides good heat for more then 4 hours. After meat is ready close air supply on bbq grill and I can use the remaner next time. Due to this very lasting box, difficult to finish. Very happy with the coal considering price and lasting time. Much more efficient. No smock after ignited. Recommend!

Bad quality, over priced
If you get time to waste starting a bbq….you will find cheaper and more efficient

Doesn't burn for 4 to 6 hours but good quality.
Doesn't burn for 4 to 6 hours as advertised and takes longer to light up than briquettes. Less smoke and ash compared to regular charcoal.

Our BBQ is not perfect Without this charcoal
We Absolutely LOVE this charcoal!Yes it takes a time to light up but when charcoal is fully burning in beautiful Red color, it does a magical BBQ cooking!!Our weekly BBQ can't go without this charcoal, chicken in smokey finish, beef in tender juicy finish.. Prawns are beautifully crispy! Corn sometimes pop due to high temperature!Normally we dine for 2-3hours but charcoals remain burning few more hours (don't know how long!)The only thing I notice is that 10kg box is now getting Expensive!!!! Hope the price goes back as before.. this is truly our favorite one

They're legit! A chimney full is all you need for the night.
These type of briquettes are called "ogatan" in Japan. Because these coals are so compact, you should know that the ignition process is different from cheap 20 aed briquettes. You can't use a lighter and some paper. You need a chimney starter and a portable burner, and allow at least 20 to 30 mins over high fire to ignite these type of charcoals. That's just how they work. But once these long briquettes turn burning orange, boy they are hot!! The best way to keep them burning for a long time is to stack them firmly side by side in the grill, allowing minimum gaps so that the heat will be condensed. Airflow will work in the hollow center of each briquette. So fan them to the sides in increase the temperature once they're stacked in the grill. This will extend the life of the live coals and will also prevent flare ups. Coz you know, flare up bad, infrared heat good.

Good to buy but read the coment
Burns long time with a stable heat and almost no smoke. Not too high neither too low. But there is not so much charcoal smell on the food. Therefore I am mixing with some regular charcoal. It makes bbq much more enjoyable.
