It's whatever moves me.
I loved the series. I wished it lasted longer. Miss Tapping in this and Stargate was my favorite actress.

Loved this series when it was on TV
You get season one and two with amazon prime but now they've got you hooked you have to cough up for season three and four. I really liked this series when it was on TV, Amanda Tapping does a great job as the lead and her supporting cast is also top notch. Too bad, they could have probably sold some mini series even if they didn't want to continue with the series proper. Sanctuary is a world where all the myths we've heard of probably have a solid basis in fact but there are only a very few of these "creatures" or abnormals as they're called in the show left running around and the Sanctuary was built to protect us from each other. The writing was consistently good all the way through and I really enjoyed the story lines about Big Bertha and some of other elementals that got inserted into the story line in places (gonna make you watch it, lol). Humans are just way too arrogant about thinking we're the only ones. Loved this show was sorry to see it end but no one really died in the end so it's all just hanging there if they wanted to bring it back.

A great entertaining show at a great price
If you enjoy seeing entertaining episodes at your convenience this maybe the one for you. It takes a lot of real life and folk lore events to create a very thrilling story line. They use objects from the past to create a very entertaining story line. Some episodes are based off of books written by some very good authors. Very enjoyable.

Try it. I think you will enjoy.
Love this show. Have actually paid for two seasons. Sorry it came to an end. So different from current tv shows. The cast is great, no gory violence. Love the characters from the past.

Fantastic show
Clever and fun, I really enjoyed all 4 seasons and wish there were more episodes. Too bad Syfy continues to cancel excellent shows. Amanda Tapping was amazing

The good ones get cancelled
I have been a huge Sanctuary fan since the beginning. I had to get Season 4 to finish the series. Was it as good as Seasons 1-3? Yes and No. At times it seemed as if they were running out of material and other times it seemed 100%. Could be that's the way they planned it. I wouldn't know the answer to that. It was definitely worth the money and I enjoyed every episode. I wish it had not been cancelled. Seems all the good shows get cancelled.

An unseen world lives just beyond our notice
Sanctuary is a fantastic series, that has morphed slightly from Season One to Two, Two to Three, and from Three to this season, Four, the last of the series. The production values have always been top notch, shooting direct to digital storage against green screens with the best CGI technicians in the business filling in the wonder. And the stories have always been excellent, both as stand-alone episodes, and as contributors to multi-episode story arcs that build nicely one upon the other. All 4 seasons are a worthy addition to your collection. Most would agree, however, that Season Four is uneven, and it is not surprising that it was not renewed for a Fifth. Many individual episodes are up to the old standard. But with the normal world now aware of the existence of abnormals, and the introduction of the United Nations and military authorities competing with the Sanctuary to deal with the possible abnormal "crisis," we find our buoyant fantasy world weighted down with too much reality, and if anything, we turn to shows like Sanctuary to escape from the current headlines of strife.Still, you'll enjoy spending time with Will and Abby, howl with Henry, get cuffed by Bigfoot, and swept away by the beautiful, ageless, and very accomplished Helen Magnus, who can be quite a tough little kick-ass, too, when the times call for it. The "excellent" episodes alone are worth the price of admission - and you get to choose which episodes deserve this rating!

Gone Too Soon
I've loved Sanctuary since the first season, so was bitterly dissappointed to discover that this was the final season. I'm guessing from some of the interviews with the actors in the extras that they weren't expecting the axe to fall either.Having said that if you like the first three seasons you'll love this one as it brings more of the same great sci fi to the small screen. And the ending, even though I gather it wasn't supposed to be the finish of the show, does a good job of wrapping things up with a nice twist.

Season 4 - Defiantly 5 stars but not quite as good as season 3
First things first if you're a sanctuary fan then your guaranteed to enjoy this regardless of any other reviews. This series has all the elements that we have come to expect from the sanctuary team. Humor action and plenty of SF although the mood is a lot more sombre and there's less green screen environments. However this is a new sanctuary in tone and Plot. This is especially obvious in episode Fugue, that has a familiar singing based plot but without the Overt humor, its emotionally mature but in a good way, although Will can be a bit soppy sometimes. Not to say the series is all doom and gloom it's just matured form its days of having those nubbin things or the comic book superpower abnormal goo.The series continues the hollow earth theme by having the hollow earth abnormal's come to the surface. Causing all sorts of panic with the sanctuary team narrowly avoiding a war with an overly aggressive general. they then have to deal with a abnormal insurgency that follows. Without giving too much away the governments of the world are now aware of the abnormal's and how dangerous they can be so decide to deal with them without the sanctuary i.e. FBI, NSA, etc hunting them on there own. So this leaves the sanctuary team cut off from there former political connections and the UN.Now for my review. The series for some reason has gone back to the 13 episode structure. Not sure why but it doesn't seem to affect how the series progresses. There are a lot of good episodes including the return of the Kush (shape changing fear abnormal from Ep.5 Of series 1) and of course any episode with Nicola Tesla in it (Spoiler# Think are 51#). However it doesn't seem to me, to have the same grip as series 3 which I watched in the space of about a week. The way I see it, is that there moving the direction of sanctuary towards something a bit more in-depth/serious rather than a monster of the week theme. Supernatural comes to mind. They also seem to have completely ditched Kate Freelander (Agam Darshi) barring a special appearance in ep 10, and of course druid is dead, despite the misleading cover image. The loss of Kate doesn't actually have any real impact on the series as Magnus takes up a lot of the slack. Following on from that I would say that where series 3 was more about Will and his bad dancing, series 4 is most defiantly about Magnus and how she's working in this new world she also gets a lot more screen time which is always good.Overall an essential buy for any sanctuary fan but in my view not as good as season 3. Although Amanda tapping does kiss a girl in one episode in case that swings your choice.NOTEIve just been told and have verified that SyFi who were financing/hosting the show have now cancelled it so unfortunately Sanctuary is no more :(
