Suzuki Piano School, Vol 3 New International Edition

The product title lists "Suzuki Piano School, Vol 3: Book & CD". The product you are purchasing is the BOOK ONLY. There is no CD enclosed with the book. The seller refuses to acknowledge the product title is inaccurate and continues to point to the product description which states "Now the book and CD can be purchased together or separately."

Buyer Beware! The picture, the title, and the ISBN-13 (978-0739051689) of this product listing all refer to the Book & CD combination. What was shipped (by a third party seller) was the Book only version .... and this is the ISBN-10 (073905449X) listed on the product listing. I did not receive the Book&CD version (where the CD sleeve is stapled into the binding). There is no CD icon in the upper right hand corner of the book. There is no CD accompanying the book.

I started piano lessons only recently. After getting through my first book, my instructor recommended the first of the Suzuki books, saying she thought I'd enjoy it. And I absolutely did. Every piece is a challenge, but doable with effort. With some pieces, a great deal of effort. But it's good music and it develops one's ability well. I'm just starting the second in the series, and I can tell I'm going to have to practice, practice, practice. I acquired this volume three, knowing I'll be using it. (Someday? In this life?) Looking at the third leaves me thinking, Wow, that's not possible for li'l ol' me. But I had the same thought when first seeing the first volume, and I made it through that. These Suzuki books are really, really, great. It's my opinion, and I'm only me, but there it is.

I have a daughter in book 5, son in book 3, and daughter finishing book 2. If you have a real Suzuki teacher, your kids will amaze you! They are excellent musicians, and my older two are now reading everything they can play. So you don't have to just learn to pay by ear with Suzuki! I wish I had learned this method--maybe I'd still be playing. It's so freeing to be able to hear a piece and be able to play it. If I didn't have music I was stuck. My kids LOVE to play.

Have been recommended to get it for our daughter by another music professional since she is gifted. We are going to give it a try with her piano teacher's guidance. The books appears to be shorter than expected but it came with the CD as described.

The title of this item is completely misleading- "Book & CD". It does not come with a CD (listening to the music is a primary way suzuki students learn new music). Even in the description it is near impossible to know that it does not contain the CD. I hope the seller changes this or Amazon forces a change in the title so others do not purchase this item expecting what is advertised.

We are enjoying the piano more and more as our grandchildren progress through these Suzuki books. I try to have on hand the books they are currently in, so they can play or study when they come over. It is another way Grandma's can encourage there work and I get to enjoy it more!
