Cheaper, but it Takes longer than the Bialetti on my induction cooktop.
My Bialetti broke after only one year because I put too much side-ways pressure on the handle when unscrewing it. So I thought I would try a GAT because it is so much cheaper and the octagonal shape plus the matte black finish looked easier to grip. But it is made mostly of aluminum with only the base made of steel. Less steel means less heat source from the induction cooktop...therefore more time to bring to a boil compare to the all- steel Bialetti. I want my coffee ASAP in the am!
