Perfect size for Bistro Set
I have looked a long time for an umbrella base for my small umbrella in my bistro set. This is the only one that fit. It holds the umbrella well. I can see why other reviewers did not like this for a large table, but it works perfect for my small table to hold in place my small umbrella. Does a great job!

Small umbrella holder.
We had a custom table on our deck. The opening for an umbrella holder is small. We struggled to find the size that would fit. This one does. It’s a shell of a holder. The sand added is what gives the weight. If strong winds it would not successfully hold up an umbrella but with the stability of the table…together it’s perfect for our use. Recommend for small footprints but not for a totally freestanding umbrella.

Good Value For Money
I don't understand all the reviews commenting that this base didn't hold an umbrella up by itself. It says right in the description that it's meant to be used with a table as an additional support. ??? That's how I'm using mine, under a bistro table with a light umbrella. I didn't see the need to spend a lot of money on my set-up, and this has been just perfect. Keeps the umbrella upright and protects it from blowing away (something not done by other, more expensive bases in my windy area). At the price I was willing to pay. I took off a star because the picture makes it look like the holder itself is metal and it is not, which I think is misleading. But, for the money, I think this is a great little item!

It was plastic, not stone.
I didn’t like that it was not stone, as I was led to believe.

Great product but difficult to fill
This stand has done everything we have needed it to. It’s under our patio table and the umbrella comes up in the middle of the table. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it was a major pain to fill with sand. The hole is very small and in a bad location so you have to use a funnel and hold the stand up on its side to fill it.. but then you have to roll it around some to get the sand to settle down so you can keep adding more for weight.

Good inexpensive choice
I actually bought this product for a prop I was making. It didn’t work for that but it I then used it for it’s intended purpose. Easy to use.

Used for holding a flag pole.
It looks like it will work if I use shims to make the pole wider. The weight should be enough to keep the poles upright.

Decent, but the price reflects the quality.
I needed these to hold two umbrella sturdy in my backyard. They do what I need them to, but one of them arrived damaged. There is a tab on the insert that attaches to the umbrella pole. That tab was broken and from time to time, with enough wind, the insert comes out of the base because of that broken tab. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I probably will go with something different next time.

Not worth the cost
Didn't arrive with the holder for the pole, which would have probably improved my review.I had to buy a holder for the table to keep the umbrella from falling over. Not a good experience, would not recommend this product.

Suitable for a table umbrella.
This was a good buy for the money. It’s not quite as heavy a I would have liked, even filled with water, but it is doing the job. I was pleased that the bronze colour is really brown which matches my patio set.

Trash. Don't buy.
Trash. Lightweight plastic, not enough weight to support umbrella when filledMy umbrella fell over immediately. Waste of money.

Poor quality
Arrived on time. Easy to assemble. Bought 4 of these, screws & plastic securing the umbrella in broke off after a week.

Plastic, will not hold in windy conditions.
It doesn’t work at all with any wind for a large umbrella. It’s very lightweight. The spout to put sand or water in is very small. The plastic section that the pole goes in broke off very fast.
