Trick Or Treat StudiosMichael Myers Halloween 2 Full Head Costume Mask Adult

Perhaps the most screen accurate Halloween II mask created
I had been following Trick or Treat Studios when I learned they had been given the exclusive rights to recreate the "shape" mask used in the movie Halloween II by Universal Studios. As any fan of Michael Myers and the Halloween franchise will tell you, while the second movie did not achieve the acclaim of the first, it is still a cherished film for horror fans, and that the mask used in that film is indeed the SAME mask that was used in the original Halloween. The problem is, it had been a few years since the first movie came out, and the mask was not as properly cared for as it should have been. It started to "yellow" and rot. The face had also started to droop on one side which is why the eye, cheek and lips are not perfectly symmetrical. As for this mask, it is screen accurate. What this means is, it looks almost identical to HOW you see the mask in the film. This is a double edged sword, because people have a lot of misconceptions about the mask. The mask is supposed to be this dirty, because it looked dirty in the second film, it's supposed to have the needle hole where Laurie stabbed Michael in the first, it's supposed to have the droop, it's supposed to have the "yellow" white color. The problem is, fans wish that the mask looked like the mask did in the original Halloween and so are disappointed. As for my thoughts, I am a fan of Trick or Treat Studios. They are one of the few mask makers that actually try and give their fans what they want. They also try and use quality materials and try to make their masks accurate. Make no mistake, the masks are mass-produced, but you can see they have quality workmanship behind them.Pros:- The "shape". It looks like the mask in the first two films. Period. It has the correct face structure and look.- Genuine camel hair. It's a good quality hair and few mass produced masks use it.- Size is good. I have a bigger head, and yet it's a good size, though it fits much the way it did on Warlock in the second film.- Quality. The latex is a nice thickness, it doesn't feel cheap for being mass-produced.Cons:- While it may be screen accurate due to how we see it in the film/lighting, I know it isn't 100% accurate to the way the mask actually was. The transition from the white to the flesh of the neck is too profound. It was never like that. Believe me, I've seen the original masks up close, though long rotted, you can see in numerous behind the scenes pictures, that the white actually extended to the neck though it had started to rub off a "bit" and was dirtied because of the way he took the mask off in the second movie. The white paint should have extended down at least another 2-3 inches well past the jaw onto the neck.- The way the hair is laid on. Now it's laid in three simple rows, not only to facilitate ease on the production line, but to save money as well. But it's a bit poor. A slight brush of the hair and the back of the head is visible, not to mention the hair easily comes out. As I hairsprayed and styled the hair to match the movies, I'd say at least 1/5th of the hair came out in my hands. At this price point, it's to be expected it won't be laid on by hand all over, but still disappointing.- The nose. It depends who was working on your mask that day. The nose was dirty because of the way Warlock took it off, but sometimes you can have it be too dirty there or too high up on the bridge and it looks funny, almost like a clown.- Quality control, my mask came with two hot glue stains on the cheek which I had to carefully remove. All in all, I am happy. I've wanted an authentic looking Michael Myers mask for a long time, as have many of you, I'm sure. But as you know, the top masks that are custom made, seldom sell for less than at least $200+. Here, you get an authentic looking Myers mask, for $50-ish. Depending on how accurate you want it, a few dollars in paint, some glue, some hair, you can make it as good as you want.I can't wait for the day Trick or Treat Studios acquires licenses for other masks, especially for Halloween 1 (if possible)or other movies like Friday the 13th or the Elm street series. They have a passion for making great masks and it's nice to see quality masks being made again. For far too long, Michael Myers masks were nothing more than basic white latex masks that looked nothing like the movie versions.

Top Notch Mask, Make Sure This Is What You Want Though!
I've been a huge Halloween fan ever since I was 10, and I have been Michael Myers for Halloween on several occasions. Each time, I used a different mask, all mass produced, and this one is by far the best one out of the lot. It's the closest to a screen accurate mask that you will get without breaking the bank, but that may not be what you want! This is NOT going to look like the mask from the 1978 Halloween, it looks like the much more weathered and beat up version from Halloween II (which it is SUPPOSED to be). One of the main differences and the one that people here are pointing out the most is the neck is flesh colored, not white. This is how the mask in the movie was (go watch it carefully) due to weathering between production of the original and the sequel. If you're curious as to why this is, along with the other differences, read this article that Chris Zephro (founder of Trick or Treat Studios) posted: http://www.trickortreatstudios.com/blog/the-antomy-of-the-halloween-ii-mask/Now as for the mask on its own terms, it's fantastic. For the most part it is true to the picture on Amazon, aside from the neck looking more white in the online photo (yet again, the actual product is more authentic to the movie and if the Amazon picture showed this it would probably save people a lot of complaining) and slightly less detailing on the face. Nothing a little pencil can't fix if it's not to your pleasing. As for fit, I have a very large head (size 8 hat size and wear a XXXL motorcycle helmet, for reference)and this mask is just big enough to fit me inside it, which I must say is admirable considering many masks are too small for me. Also keep in mind that your head shape will drastically alter the shape of the mask in turn. This is one reason why it may look different on you than in the movie. On me, for instance, it is more wide and overall circular rather than an oval. The hair is 100% real Camel hair (just like the real H2 mask), but I've been reading about the hair falling out easily. I have not had this problem yet, but I suspect it's because people are taking the mask off by the hair. Don't! Use the slits in the back of the mask, they're there for a reason!Overall, this is a very high quality mask, not even considering the $50 price tag. If you are looking for a "compromise" between a cheap knockoff and a 100% accurate custom mask, this is by far your best bet so far.I also have read that Trick or Treat Studios is releasing masks from other Halloween movies as well, inlcuding H6, H20, and Resurrection. I'll be sure to check those out as well! Thanks Chris and everyone at Trick or Treat Studios for finally making affordable authentic Michael Myers masks!

Amazing Myers mask for the average person!
What can I say guys, this mask is awesome. It’s perfect for cosplay or a Michael costume. I wore it earlier for Halloween to hand out candy to the kids, I was a hit with the kids and parents alike. People wanted to take picture with me, and everyone said how good the costume was (it helped that I stayed in character)If you are looking for an affordable Myers mask that doesn’t suck and actually looks like the real thing, this is it. It’s nice that’s it’s from part 2, because it’s not perfectly white like the H1 mask, it seems a little dingy, a little banged up if you will, with the puncture hole in the neck and the slight dark spots on the nose and lips. I styled the hair a bit to add the little devil horns Michael has, paired that with a the RedCap overalls, throes on my boots and , presto, Michael Myers, it’s great, get it

Pretty good mask
Same mask shown in the picture, and the paint job is decent. The mask is a bit big for my head, but it looks great on display. It's very breathable and it's very good quality. In my opinion, it's well worth the price.

Good quality
I was able to keep this mask on my mannequin outdoors for about 5 Halloween seasons, meaning the entire month of October. I didn’t realize how good the quality was until I bought a replacement last year, which I’m now looking to replace again.

Great fitting authentic mask made of great quality.
I've been wanting a Micheal Myers mask for years, as I'm a huge fan! Spencer's gift used to carry a great authentic mask, when I went by this year to pick one up, they now only have a cheaper, less authentic looking mask. I found this one on Amazon, when I opened the package I was ;amazed at the quality of the mask and how authentic it looked. The cost is a little higher than expected, but after seeing the mask it was well worth it, would highly recommend.
