Great!
I have bought many "glass files" only to have them wear out and become smooth in 3 weeks. I have learned that this should not happen if the glass is etched. This nail file shows no sign of wear and works like a charm. Super happy I got it for a good price.

Good Quality but Too Coarse.
I have a glass nail file from Cirque Colors that I like a lot. I decided to buy another one and I have found Germanikure products to be of high quality in the past. So I ordered the Germanikure Glass Nail File in blue with the suede case. It comes in a sturdy cardboard tube. The suede case is dark grey and provides good protection for the file, but, honestly, the velvet case would be adequate. My other glass file has a velvet case and it's fine. The file is 5 ½ inches (14 cm) long, ½ inch (12mm) wide, and 3mm thick. This file is tempered glass, which is chemically treated to create the textured surface. Mine says "Stay Curious" on it and the font is clearly legible. While the file is well-made, I don't like it. This file has three distinct sizes of grit or degrees of roughness. A couple of centimeters at the tip are fine, about 3 centimeters in the middle are medium, and about 4.5 centimeters from the center up to the smooth handle are quite rough or coarse. I cannot imagine why anyone would want a coarse glass file. The finest grit on a glass file goes through nails like a knife through butter. Edges are left smooth and it doesn't take too much off of soft or thin nails. I only use the fine surface of this file and that is difficult to do seeing as it's confined to the tip. The 3mm thickness is also inconveniently thick for filing the sides and corners of nails.Glass files in general are great. I haven't used a cushion file since I got my glass file from Cirque Colors. My nails are thin and soft and that is the only file I've used that doesn't cause fraying. Glass files don't wear out, they are easily cleaned, and they don't shred nails as cushion files or emery boards tend to. But I recommend fine grit or texture (glass files don't literally have grit). It will easily file your nails without taking too much off or leaving rough edges. Unfortunately, the Germanikure file is too coarse for my nails. This obviously varies by brand. My Cirque Colors file is very fine and is only 2mm thick. I love it. If you think glass files are too harsh for your nails, try another brand.

Game changer.
These are worth every cent. Ever since I stopped biting my nails 15 years ago, I’ve always kept those little cardboard nail files scattered all over my house. But a friend recommended these to me and I can’t ever go back. I’ve tried other knock off brands and believe me when I say that it’s wasted money. These germanikure files are the way to go. They never lose their ability to file. They file quickly and beautifully, keeping my nail edges perfect. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Great nail file
Only had the product for a couple of weeks and It is a great nail file. I am tired of nail files losing their abrasiveness over time. I think this is going to be my go to file from now on. I purchased another immediately upon receiving it. The file is a little thicker than I am used to but I will get used to it.
