Faber castle awesome colour pencils and quality👌🏻

I read a lot of reviews of various coloured pencils before buying these. I am very happy with them. I'm no expert, but they are not on the "waxy" side. I was looking for something less waxy, so these are good for my uses. They blend "ok." I used them on regular paper (adult colouring book style) as well as on a canvas, like for painting. Paper was very good. On the canvas they were really nice, and the only thing I'd say to be wary of is that they smudge very easily. I imagine waxy ones would smudge less. So I like the finished product, but just beware of smudging. I'm going to look for some kind of spray on plastic coating to protect my masterpiece ;-) from smudging. I will definitely go with Faber-Castell again, and now that I know what to expect I will invest in a bigger set to get more colour options.

I was pleasantly suprised when i seen the proce of my new favourite pencil crayon! I have been buying single crayons at micheals for roughly 2 dollars so i was abit skeptical.i no that fabercastile has a few different types and brands of penscil crayons so my fingers were crossed. I got them relativily fast considering they came from china . The biggest upset to me besides they wernt the kind ive been using was that pamphlet was in chinesse and there is no color guide and to the naked eye there seems to be doubles of some colors. And on the pamphlet it shows a paint brush ? So are these a set of water pencil crayons to? Or one deck is? Fusterating to say the least. Hpwever they are still decent pencil crayons abit better then my 9 dollar crayolas and there is a btter color variety.

I just received these so I haven't gotten a chance to use them much, but I did swatch a few colors and I'm really impressed.The colour payoff is very good, with a nice ability to build from quite light to very rich. The centre feels firm but applies smoothly, which is a nice change from the Prismacolor scholar pencils which I'm used to using which are much more waxy, I have a feeling I'll be able to layer more with these ones.I'm looking forward to working with these more and seeing what they can do, and how they'll work in conjunction with the pencil crayons I already have.I also like the construction of the package, you can slide the little tray out of the box so you can easily get to all your pencils, which is so helpful - and it comes with a sharpener.Great value for the price, and I have Prime right now so I got them in 1 day (woohoo).

I like these colours very much! They blend beautifully and the assortment is very good. I've never had a core break and they sharpen to a fine point in my Staedtler hand held sharpener. The only thing I have a problem with is getting real depth with the black pencil. Fortunately, it isn't a pencil I use often. Probably when I am more used to coloured pencils, I'll figure it out. I mostly paint in watercolour and acrylic and there is definitely another learning curve with coloured pencils.
