Decent.
Very similar to Pentel Arts pens. The fine point here is no where near as fine as the Pentel FP5F pen. Ink is very black/opaque and waterproof (have not water colored over it yet, just simple smear test. As the design is similar, seems as easy to refill with your own ink.Won’t be replacing my FP5Fs anytime soon, just going to stock up on those.

The best of both worlds, a pen that writes like brush or a brush that writes like a pen.
Package arrived a few days early, secure, well wrapped, exactly as described and in working order.Everything one would get from a calligraphy brush in a pen. The line variation based on the pressure you apply to the pen is great for practicing Shodo. Pens are great for fine details or blocking in large areas in a drawing as well. The ink seems very even in both colour and consistency delivering a very solid black line. Still have to test the ink to see whether or not it runs.Cleaning is a little bit of work, but much the same as cleaning a Koi or Derwent water brush. The tip comes apart and snaps back together easily.As a side note, I could not find the proper refills for this pen on Amazon.ca. I did find them available on another website listed as: Kuretake Zig Cartoonist Brush Pen Refill Cartridge - Black

Exactly what I wanted and cheaper than retail
I wanted to try this pen out and it is great! With enough practice you can create a lively line that is similar to an ink brush. You can refill it with Rapidograph ink too to save money on refills.

Exactly as expected but the bristles are so soft it's difficult to control line width while writing

BEAUTIFUL
I LOVE this pen! If you don't oversaturate the tip you can get a really cool distressed look with quick strokes. Worth the wait (took 2 months to get to me from Japan!!)
