Love everything about it!

This book tells you all about what you need for quilting, different kind of quilting techniques with their glossy pictures, but tips and techniques for successful sewing, I beg to differ. She does not even give any tips to cut your fabric properly or precisely, let alone how to sew properly to get good results.The instructions are like 'sew around the design or' try to keep the stitches (free motion) as even as you can', not about tips on how to do them to achieve good results or how get piecing line up together for example.Everything in this book is no secret nor top tips I decided not to try any of the projects as I didn't want to waste money on not very good results.Instead I signed up to an online course by an award winning quilter. She teaches everything she knows to get good results step by step. Best money I've spent online!!!

This is another excellent book by Debbie Shore. It's a really good comprehensive guide to quilting. There are chapters on all sorts of useful techniques: caring for your quilt, cutting, machine stitches, quilt sandwich, quilt-as-you-go, free-motion embroidery, bias binding, stitch in the ditch, tying a quilter's knot, hand quilting, to name a few. Included in the book are some nice projects and there are a lot of helpful photographs in every chapter, which are short and to the point.Please bear in mind that this review is written from the point-of-view of a not yet quilter. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I get started and after reading this book, I feel I could start with a baby quilt, quite confidently and progress to larger quilts, in future.

This book is wonderful , it explains so clearly techniques that look very complicated. Well written with fab photos. One of my best quilting books.

This book arrived today so have only flicked through it, but lots of good information, sometimes even experienced sewers need reminding of the basics! and for a beginner or inexperienced sewer very usedful knowledge. Lots of different projects to suit all tastes. This is going to be a great go to book.
