Easy for data transfer between iphone and windows pc.

Between Apple's cloud servers(a zillion dollar company), my internet connection(500mbps), the phone(iPhone 11) and the drive itself I couldn't find a conclusive cause for the very long period required to backup all 7000 of my photos. It took two whole days, with the last hundred plus photos taking the bulk of the backup time, requiring me to re-initiate the backup process every few minutes because the app was somehow unable to finish. And still the app was stuck on the last 30 pictures unable to back anything up at that point.Once I updated to iOS 14 the backup was actually able to complete, but whether the drive can replicate this in the future remains to be seen.Since I can't actually pinpoint where the hiccup was in the chain of hardware I'm giving a 'benefit of the doubt' three stars.

When I bought my iPhone 7plus I didn’t realise that 32GB is too less of a space if you do a lot of video recording. I have a habit of video recording while travelling but have to limit myself or had to offload apps to record more. After I bought this, I was relieved, as I could quickly transfer all my photos and videos to this drive and continue to shoot.One thing to remember, don’t turn on iCloud for photos else transfer will be slow.

I haven’t tried using this pen drive as expected with the SanDisk app. Rather I bought it to use with Files app for which it is currently not working, by currently I mean it could work in the future at least I hope it works in future with the firmware update. I checked mine is on the latest firmware but files app does not detect it. In the mean time I can still use it flawlessly with infuse app. So in a way it solves my purpose of watching media.I am currently on iPadOS 13 beta. I hope this helped you

One thing is if you have lots of money and you want to purchase just gadgets to showoff then purchase it...otherwise wd hard disk is better option..I am saying this because Ixpand doesn't give you option to copy folders or other type of files excluding Photos and Videos..so mainly we use ipad not storing photos but pdf and other other type of files e.g.word.excel. pdf file folders etc...thing is we can't move or copy such type of file so easily..you have to go every file and tap share option,even though you unable to open those file from ixapand..its better if you purchase Hard disk of 1 TB instead wasting of huge amount on such dumb product..

Identified year month etc. It took some time to download (just over 5000 items) and if I had known I would have made sure my IPad was fully charged; otherwise a useful tool.
