Buffalo Games - Quilt Farm - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

I recently purchased this puzzle from Warehouse Deals in "acceptable" condition. It arrived safely enough, but the box is severely damaged, but heavily taped up. When I opened it, there was no poster, and the pieces were loose, so I decided I'd better put it together as quickly as possible in the event it was missing any pieces. Prior to assembly, I counted all the pieces TWICE. There are 1,026 in total (38 wide by 27 high). I got it assembled over the course of three evenings. Some pieces were slightly damaged and some weren't cut all the way through, but otherwise, this is a nice puzzle of reasonable quality for the cost. If another puzzle of this brand comes up at a discount, I will likely get it. They are certainly good mental exercise. :)

The bottom of the box says "Quality Sealed to prevent lost pieces". What they actually mean is: "We didn't want to spend 1 cent on a plastic bag so we glued the inside edges of the box shut; that way when you tear the box apart pieces will go flying everywhere and hopefully you will find them all". Besides this, the pieces don't seem to have the same quality as my previous 2000 piece Buffalo puzzle.

This was the first time I've had missing pieces in a puzzle, and it really takes away from the enjoyment, and makes it really hard to want to do it again, or even give it to someone else. Even though they say they will replace the puzzle, they won't. They will send you an entirely different puzzle. The list of puzzles to choose from weren't to my liking, so I had to pick one that I didn't even want. Not impressed.

Buffalo Games puzzles never miss, be they 300, 500, 600, 750, 1000 pieces.Large pieces, perfect interlock, fun and colorful motif and, very important to me, different shape pieces.I also really appreciate the fact the box is not too large, just enough to fit all the pieces, so it makes it easier to store. But, people, don't worry about the size of the picture on the smaller square box because each and every Buffalo Games puzzle comes with a beautiful picture/poster of the puzzle inside that is of course larger than the picture on the box. I wish all puzzle manufacturers would so the same and not waste material on all those big boxes when 1/3 of the size would be amply sufficient. I recently finished a 500-piece puzzle where there was this little bag of pieces in a 13 x 9 in. box, which irritated me, such a waste. Makes me doubly appreciate Buffalo Games puzzles.

The wife and I have taken to doing puzzles during the pandemic for entertainment. This puzzle was fun and of good quality. It is especially important for my wife having Alzheimer's to keep her mind occupied even though I have to help her considerably, it does give her a great sense of accomplishment. We are now on puzzle 24 in less than a year. Keep them coming! Thanks!!!
