PETSMART has better quality mesh filters than these.. save your money.
The quality of this product was okay.. wouldn’t waste $10 on 4 of the same mesh bags that barely filters my tank without the carbons falling out of it because the mesh gaps were way too big. I found better mesh bags at Petsmart for .99 cents for one filter, same size 3x8. It has better quality and their mesh bags filters way better! Pieces of carbons don’t fall out between the gaps of the Petsmart filters like this one does. Save your money and you can find better deals and quality elsewhere.

Works fine, but I wouldn't buy again...
Small Aquarium Mesh Media Filter Bags - High Flow 500 micron - 3" by 8" with Drawstrings. They work just fine, but now that I have discovered I can get the same usage from cut-up pantyhose from the dollar store, I'm pretty sad I spent what I spent on these. That said, I bought them for bio media, not carbon, so it's not like I will be emptying them and refilling them with any sort of regularity; were I using them for carbon, I might see the point in them, since wet knotted pantyhose packets would certainly be less convenient to open and reuse. Maybe.

Small Size - Perfect!
The product is as described - 3" x 8". I think the size is perfect for any application. These mesh media bags can be used in the following settings: canister filter, HOB filter, DIY filters. An attribute everyone needs to consider is that the bags are closed with a drawstring. Other media bags have zippers and you simply do not know if the metal has a safe corrosion-resistant finish, which prevents the metal from rusting. For canister filters, you simply do not need to fill the bag the entire way and you can put multiple into the same media basket.I got an Aquaclear 110 filter off craigslist because the seller was trying to get rid of it along with his tank. I can put multiple bags and they fit almost exactly as needed. If you find other bags for cheaper, I would say these are worth it.

Does NOT work with Nitrazorb
When I saw that it works with nitrate removers I bought them. Then I put nitrazorb in and small balls came out. I rinsed it for a while, though it might be okay. After wrestling with my filter I finally got it in. Then the small balls went into the tank, which my fish ate. I'm pretty sure that's why one fish died the next day.The description needs to be much better. In theory, it looks like it should be fine enough, but it isn't. Now I need to get different bags to start over and hope for a better outcome.

Nice fit for small filters
The bag has nice open material unlike some other bags that are so tightly woven that the water doesn't flow through it easily. I believe substrate is an absolute must for all aquariums sizes. These new over the back or internal filters just do not have that option. So I make my own media bags. This fits nicely.
