The regular bulb on my machine got very hot. I wanted to replace it with something that will last a long time and stay cool. Brother machine loves it.

I was given a White 2037 sewing machine when my old Singer died. I couldn't see a darn thing with the ultra dim existing bulb in the machine and the largely worthless manual didn't list the bulb size needed so I had to resort to trial and error. I did find a site on Google that listed my machine with the size given here on Amazon for this bulb so I ordered this. It works!! I've included a picture with the cover off and on. I left it plugged in and on with the cover off for over 5 minutes to see if it got hot as one reviewer reported and while it did get slightly warm to the touch I wouldn't describe it as hot. The cover does fit on my machine with the bulb in place. The bulb does reach the bottom of the cover but again it isn't anything close to burn level hot. I included pictures with the cover on and off. It's a lovely very bright bulb. At this point I highly recommend it!

This light works in both the Brothers 1034D and Babylock Imagine (BLE1AT). The bulb base is a little longer than the factory bulbs, but it still works! It was a little finicky in the brother machine, so thread carefully! The LEDs are encased in some sort of gel/squishy material rather than glass, so you don’t need to worry about the glass shattering if you hit a pin or your needle breaks!

Update: I bought this bulb twice. The first lasted about a year, the second lasted about 9 months.Original review: This bulb fits my Brother Nouvelle PQ1500S perfectly. The base of the bulb is longer than the base of a normal bulb I bought from my local quilt shop, so it looked a little weird when I opened the package (see attached photo). But I screwed it in as much as I could and it works great. It is incredibly bright. The light is cool white and not at all yellow.Unlike old fashioned incandescent bulbs, there's no glass. The part around the LEDs is a solid silicone gel, I think. (It can squish slightly if you squeeze it.) In any case, not glass and not in danger of breaking during shipping. The bulb arrived in a box inside two layers of bubble wrap envelopes. It arrived with a drink coaster decorated with the weird eagle pictures in the listing.

Super product and great purchase. Fit WHITE sewing machine beautifully and changed the entire work surface with beautiful cool light. Cannot say enough good about the bulb or company that sent it! It came in a timely fashion and was swapped out immediately. Fantastic change.

I replaced the original bulb in my Brother 1034D serger with this bulb. It fit perfectly. Much brighter than the original bulb and I inticioate it holding up to vibration much better as well. Everyone should replace their 1034D's bulb with this one! Perhaps I should write a recommendation letter to Brother telling them to switch to this bulb. Lol
