Samsung 27-inch Odyssey G7 - QHD 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor, Black, 32""" (LC32G77TQSNXZA)

So I do gaming and some light creative stuff and man this thing has just been a godsend. I had been using just a regular cheap 60hz monitor and always thought the 120hz+ marketing was dumb. After experiencing 240 I can say that going back to anything below 120 is so night and day.Monitor is super bright and very color accurate. Even at 35% brightness this thing is super bright. If I switch it in artist mode then it’s solid. It’s not perfect it doesn’t bill itself as an artist monitor but if you do light drawing or video editing this thing will serve you well.Height adjust is annoying when lowering the monitor but like you need to push on it hard but for raising it it’s very easy.Overall this is a solid monitor a bit expensive but it’s 32 inches, solid HDR, Display port 1.4, built in usb hub, and easy to maneuver controls I’d say it’s a solid purchase if you have the cash and more importantly the graphics card to use it fully: I’d recommend any of nVIDIA’s 3000’s series or AMD’s 6000’s (excluding their specific 1080p cards since this is not a 1080p panel)

every ten minutes or so, sometimes quicker, the screen disconnects. i've replaced the dp cable twice, the stand, the power cable, and nothing has fixed this issue. Samsung online support was beyond useless. Just a $850 monitor gone to crap after a few months. Customer service with Samsung repaired it, within two days of return it has the same issue. THAT AND THEY SCRATCHED MY MONITOR AND REFUSE TO FIX IT.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This review is for the 32" Samsung G7 Odyssey (T1 Faker edition). I never experienced the "flickering" issue most were complaining about throughout general use, however I was able to produce the effect with a know trigger image, so it's still a thing. This was apparently fixed with a firmware update (which I did), but it's worth noting the firmware update which apparently resolved the issue is not available on this model (faker edition). If you're like me and you're considering buying this model because the regular flavor is out of stock, keep that in mind. This is technically a different model. Unfortunately as I write this, I plan on returning this model and getting the vanilla G7. My unit had a defect in which the screen would produce a horizontal white line for 1 frame or so. This usually happened in games in dark settings. I was able to produce the effect pretty continuously on my desktop with a specific wallpaper. White lines like crazy. Researching the problem for hours, I could only find 1 person with the EXACT same issue. It doesn't appear to be widespread. So I return this beautiful monitor and hope for a more streamlined experience with the next one.

I wanted to love this monitor, A lot of people thought the curve was too much however i loved the curve and thought it was very immersive, however 2560x1440 resolution isn't great for a 32 inch display. the images and fonts are very ugly. Other than that the quality of this monitor was very good, a little heavy, but very sturdy. only thing i can complain about all Samsung monitors is the cable management is poorly designed and the back cover is weak.

As soon as I got the monitor it was unusable, it would work for a couple of hours then start to flicker on and off again, this is terrible if you are playing fast paced games where you are constantly paying attention to the screen. Really wished that I could fix it, it is a really beautiful monitor. But couldn’t so I returned it and am planning on buying the original odyssey g7.

Definitely worth the money if ur willing to spend it. I had a 1080p 32 inch msi monitor and it was noticeably blurring and ghosting a bit more in games etc. I haven't seen anything with the g7 and the refresh rate is fantastic.(Edit: had to return to samsung repair because I had horizontal pixels that died on the bottom half of screen.) 3/5 because of only having it for a few months.
