Next, tungsten steel provides coarse sharpening that restores the blade to a V-shape before the 3rd slot creates a stunning polish. 3-stage knife sharpener: 1. CERAMIC: The first stage uses hard diamond rods to pre-grind steel blades that have fallen out of shape. Only this grinding stage has the necessary hardness to restore blunt steel knives to the required basic shape before proceeding to the next stage. 2. COARSE: The tungsten steel step is the starting point for grinding normal steel knives, making them sharp again. 3. FINE: The final step of the sharpening process. Honing the knives with a ceramic stone to remove burrs and polish the blade. Operation: 1.Insert the blade into the slot at a 90-degree angle to the sharpener. 2.Place blade in carbide cutting heads. 3.Pull the knife straight back towards you(2-3 times) while applying a light pressure. 4.Place blade in ceramic fine smoothing rods. 5.Pull the knife straight back towards you(5-6 times) while applying heavy pressure. 6.If blade is still dull, repeat these steps until blade is sharp.
