This is really excellent quality. Seemed expensive when ordering, but when you actually see it and use it, the cost is more than justified - it is really solid and well made. I couldn't find reviews for the 42" bar, but if anyone else is wondering, you can join the 2 ends together to make a shorter bar. Useful for some exercises where a full length bar isn't necessary.

Using this with bands and a home cable/ pulley machine, and it broadens the number and types of exercises I can do with both. Let's you do more effective squats, upright rows, and even bench and shoulder presses.You can lengthen the bar from 60 to 90 cm (drops a star because it's not the quickest thing to do/ there must be a quicker way to achieve this) and when the bar parts are threaded together, it feels very sturdy.

I recently purchased a cable machine and found myself struggling to emulate a bench press action with 2 individual handles so it made it a less enjoyable exercise. Then I found this. For deadlifts it worked fine with my normal chains, to use with a bench, i would recommend upgrading to a 1m chain (mine were 30cm initially with a cable machine with 2 opposite stacks of weights). While the way you feel the resistance with the cables isn't quite like a bench press. If you have a cable machine and a bench, I think this product is great. The bar is sturdy, bit wider than shoulders width and the fastening loops spin and are sturdy. Overall happy with purchase

I bought this to use with my Bodylastics resistance tubes. I already have a bar that I bought from the company that supplies my local gym, so I had a good base from which to make a comparison. The gym suppliers bar is only designed to support up to 150lb of tension, and this is not enough for some exercises. The Innstar bar is noticeably more sturdy and heavier and has thick (approx 5mm) comfortable rubber grips - it is genuinely solid, built to last and I feel very confident using it and not worried it might fail. I am happy to believe the manufacturers claim that it can handle up to 800lb, although I’m not sure anybody will go that far unless they are trying to prove a point, but I am sure it can handle normal exercise demands easily. Have so far loaded it up with 200lb of band tension and there is no issue at all. Overall very impressed and might go back for another one so I don’t have the inconvenience of having to change the tubes around as I switch exercises.
