Making of Roald Dahl
After reading so many books of Dahl for children, no doubt that one would love to read the making of great story teller through his childhood. The books is account of Roald Dahl's memoirs of childhood and teenage, right from kindergarten till age of 20. It traverses his life in England and Norway (his origin). His days at boarding school are filled with fun and mischievousness. One can find the comic sense and naughty humor that got built into him which is evident in his later stories. And Quentin Blake's illustrations are as wonderful as those are in all Dahl's books. This hardback edition by Jonathan Cape (ISBN : 978-0857550460) is small in height and very cute for young hands.Recommended for age group : 10+.

Dahl has a way of turning ordinary boyhood/childhood stories into something magical.
Bought this for my husband. He wanted to read Boy before he read Going Solo. He said he really enjoyed it, finding it sad at times, wistful at others, and always entertaining. Dahl has a way of turning ordinary boyhood/childhood stories into something magical. Would recommend it.
