Okay so I bought this based off a recommendation from my sister in law and it has been amazing for our family. I’ve used the Haakaa a dozen times now and it’s been amazing to catch the milk from the “unused” breast while feeding my little one. I use it in the morning, just when I think about it and I haven’t had to use my electric pump yet (I have been exclusively breastfeeding and stay at home with my baby.) It’s been great for letting me get out of the house knowing I have some milk stashed away if our baby wakes up and gets hungry before I’m back home.I would recommend getting a plug... I spilled my milk and totally cried about it.Also, user beware of an active little one because they will knock it clear off you!3 month update:I’ve been using this for quite some time and I’m still in love with it- I haven’t had to pull out our bulky electric pump and get anywhere from 1-4oz every time I use it (this is dependent on your supply not the product.) Its easy to pour into a bottle or milk bag and I’ve considered getting a second one just because I use it all of the time and I can’t get it to dry fast enough before I may need it.

I have many children and have used many different pumps over the years, when I say this is the best invention ever, I mean it beats out every electric pump I've ever had. Just not having a million pieces to clean and sterilize alone is worth it. Not to mention there's no obnoxious noise, it pumps quickly and efficiently and you don't even have to hold onto it. It suctions to your breast and u still have free hands! Perfect for work and on the go. I mostly got it to use while nursing on one side so i could pump the other side instead of wasting milk thru pads, and store some milk for when I go run an errand or two when my husband is home. I've only used it for a week and already have a ton of milk in my freezer just from using it while nursing. I will be buying another one to use when I go back to work. This will be a gift I buy for any nursing mom I know.

Absolutely love the Haakaa! As I told my sister (for whom I bought two) the Haakaa is a game changer. On a good day using my double electric Ameda pump, with lots of extra effort (warm cloth on my chest, breast massage/hand expression while pumping, looking at pics and video of my son) and multiple pumping sessions I was able to pump 2 oz tops. The very first day that I used my Haakaa I pumped 4 oz. I plan to use the Haakaa instead of my electric pump when I go back to work. It is great for use while at home breastfeeding as you can simply attach the pump to the side your child is not nursing on. When you are away from home you can attach to either side, then alternate for a full pumping session. It's so simple and easy to use. There is no guess work. I also love that all I have to clean is one component. Any mom can appreciate that time saving benefit.

Im so excited about this pump. I own a very fancy batter powered medela that lets me walk around with the base unit clipped to my belt, but it requires me to clean all these parts and tubing and it's not something I have nearby at all times.This thing is so genius I can't believe I'm just discovering it now. It can be thrown into my small little backpack, or purse. I was at a sports tournament yesterday and went to the car to feed my son, and put this thing on the other breast. Couldn't believe what came out with no squeezing or pumping. This is going to boost my supply , and I am so impressed with it I shared about it on my Instagram

As someone who had a lot of extra milk and leaked a bunch of it on one side while feeding on the other, this was an amazing solution. Baby got plenty on one side at feedings so this allowed me to get enough milk out of the other side (at the same time) to freeze and save, instead of letting my supply dip. Bonus - can bring it anywhere, and don’t need to disturb baby while using it (like an electric pump would). I was able to save so much milk that I was able to share some with a friend whose baby had trouble with breastfeeding early on. Best for the early months of breastfeeding when you’re doing it often; when supply started to wane, the suction wasn’t enough, had to switch to my electric pump.
