RedkenExtreme Anti Snap Leave In Conditioner Hair Treatment 240ml

I like how I can style my hair with this product but I haven’t seen any improvements on what it’s really supposed to do which is anti snap !

Must buy, reduces blow drying time and gives a nice shine

Ingredients "Water, polyacrylamide, phenoxyethanol, amodimethicone, C13-14 isoparaffin, isopropyl myristate, fragrance, laureth-7, xylose, hydrolysed soy protein, trideceth-6, hydrolysed vegetable protein PG-propyl silanetriol, arginine, citric acid, cetyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride, behentrimonium methosulphate, benzyl benzoate, quaternium-33 [18-MEA], limonene, benzyl alcohol, linalool, 2-oleamido-1,3-octadecanediol [ceramides]."My hair is naturally wavy, bra-strap length, two thirds virgin one third peroxide-damaged. I follow some of the 'Curly Girl' principles: conditioner-only washing, Redken Extreme Strength Builder PLUS as a leave-in conditioner, penetrating oils.I purchased Redken Extreme Anti-Snap as an additional source of structural lipids (18-MEA + ceramides) and hydrolysed proteins, to support preparation for lightening my virgin hair. Unlike Strength Builder PLUS this product does not contain the ingredient (SPDA) that research suggests helps 18-MEA stick to the hair cuticle and resist wearing off.I have been applying two pumps of Anti-Snap to the peroxide-damaged section only, before towel turbanning and air drying. Whilst still damp my hair seems almost tangly but dries soft and smooth. After four uses the damaged section of my hair is softer and shinier than the virgin section.I will update this review post-dye.

I dont normaly write a review but I had to for this product. I've got very fine hair, its dry on the end and greasy on the root, I use a hair dryer and straighteners every day, so its not in the best of conditions and that's why I decided to give this ago. I always read what other people think before making a decision and I end up buying something expecting great result and end up been disappointed but this product is a DREAM. It's made my hair feel and look much healther even from the first wash. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. (I also use the shampoo & conditioner along with this product.)

My hairdresser introduced me to this. I compared it with most of the big name strengthening serums, argan oil etc, and found this to be not only the best there is, but the cheapest (of all the reputable ones). It was cheapest when I bought it from the hairdresser, but far cheaper from Amazon. It goes a long way. My hair is long and fine and always used to snap easily, even before I started dying it. But now I leave it for 6-12 months before cutting it. I do try to only partially dry my hair and leave it to finish drying naturally - but then I used to do that before I discovered anti-snap. I've read that some people find the added protein can damage hair, but that's not my experience. I'm just grateful that the manufacturer hasn't 'improved' the product; it's perfect just the way it is. I have experimented by using a lot more than my hairdresser used, and my hair is thanking me for it. I rarely see a split end nowadays, and then only months after my hair was last cut. I've just come back to buy some more, and I'll carry on using it as long as Redken carry on making it.

Great for bleached hair that has started to break. It worked really quickly for me but a word of warning, this stuff contains protein and too much protein can also cause breakage so I just use it every other wash (I wash my thick hair 2 or 3 times a week) and use a really good conditioner too.

I have fine but course hair which is also fragile and need a product that will tame and smooth my hair from mid section to ends which are most damaged and dry. My hair is also coloured .The bottle arrived in an amazon box, no protective seal on either the outside of the bottle or the pump. The pump doesn’t have a closed option so is permanently open . I don’t like this as it makes you feel that anyone at anytime could have used it or messed with it prior to arrival.The product is a thin liquid which you put onto the mid lengths to ends of your hair, it boasts that it can protect fragile hair from breakage . When I smeared it on , my hair was instantly loosened and strands came out. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and left my hair that dry naturally. When It was dry I Started to comb it through and the whole of the bottom section of my hair felt like it’s normal dry self. I went to straighten it as normal and found that more hair than usual seemed to be coming out!!! Very worrying. My finished hair is as dry as before and I have had to cover it with oil before bed , which I actually haven’t had to do for a while , which now means the condition of my hair has actually regressed using this product!!!! I read the reviews prior to buying this and felt impressed by the product enough to spend a decent amount of money on it . I’m big into hair products and have tried many and don’t mind spending extra for quality . But I am hugely disappointed with this and would say to anyone considering this product, with my hair type, please don’t waste your money , look elsewhere for another product.
