Barry M Air Breathable Nail Paint, After Dark, 10 ml

Nice coating, relatively small for the price. A bit different to remove but thats fine.

‘After Dark’ is a bold deep blood red shade from Barry M’s ‘Air Breathable’ collection of nail paints that are formulated to allow water vapour and oxygen to pass through, allowing nails to breathe and stay hydrated which means nails will be stronger and healthier and less dry and brittle using their innovative formula.Having tried the very pretty and subtle  dusky pale pink ‘Dolly’ shade  from this range - and absolutely loving it! - I was eager to try this bold ‘After Dark’ shade - the name is very fitting, it is a very dark burgundy red. It has a highly pigmented formula that gave a fabulous streak-free coverage. It applied quickly and easily thanks to the wide, round edged brush that followed the curve of my nails which enabled me (and my shaky hand) to achieve quite a nice, neat looking finish.It was a slightly lighter red than the bottle on the first coat, but it was still a very beautiful, almost opaque, shade and it had an amazing shine. A 2nd coat made it fully opaque and my nails looked the same intense dark red as the bottle. It lasted for 3 days before it started to chip, even then it was only a small chip that I could’ve touched up, and it may have lasted longer if I had applied the  top coat  that is available from this range - I think I am going to have to buy it to find out! ;)Overall I am super impressed with both of the ‘Air Breathable’ nail paint I’ve tried and at £3.99 (19/1/21) I think they are outstanding value for money.The best bit of all is that this nail paint, like all of Barry M products, is cruelty free 👌🐇💘 dusky pale pink ‘Dolly’ shadetop coat

This is a great colour nail polish, easy to apply, looks great after two coats and dries pretty quickly. It doesn't last long at all though. Within a day and a half it was chipping from both the ends of my nails and up by the cuticle. I eked it out for 6 days by reapplying over whatever had chipped at the end of each day but it was a bit of a faff. I know it was cheap, but I usually find something like Rimmel will last me 3-4 days so I was disappointed this one didn't even last that long.I'll wear it again because it's a lovely colour and it does look great for the first day, but it's not one to paint your nails with on a Sunday night and expect it to see you through most of the week.

Purchased this nail varnish because I wanted a breathable varnish, there are a limited number of colours in the range but they are lovely, give full coverage with one coat the brush is wide and soft so you don’t get the Lines in the varnish that you get with more expensive brands , they don’t chip and the colours stay vibrant.

It looks nice when it goes on, and i used 3 coats as its not very thick.dries in a reasonable amount of time so application was easy.sadly I found that the next day it chipped, and i mean all of the nails chipped and started to come off.I know this is breathable, but no varnish should come off that easily, and i expect an element of longevity.Maybe if top cat was used it would stay longer, but surely then it would counteract the point of it being breathable !?Its not for me sadly.

Can't fault Barry M. Whenever I buy any nail varnish by them it always comes up trumps. Colours are lovely and love the fact it's breathable, amazing!!
