I spent hours researching kettles after finding rust pieces at the bottom of my teacups from my old whistling tea kettle. Realized I needed a true 18/10 stainless steel kettle to avoid rust and metal contamination in my water. Searched high and low for a good quality stainless steel kettle and sifted through dozens and dozens of reviews before finally finding this kettle.I was concerned at first that it does not whistle. But now realize it is very easy to spot when the water is boiling. Unlike my old whistling kettle which made a loud noise as the water was being boiled, this kettle is much more quiet. It boils much faster too.Most importantly, the body of the kettle is made of one solid piece of high grade stainless steel--not welded at the bottom like most of the other "stainless steel" kettles on the market. And this means no rust pieces in my water!The price is only a little more than other standard kettles but this is significantly higher quality. And it doesn't hurt either that this is such a beauty compared to the rest of them!All in all I'm glad my hours of research paid off and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I've had it for a couple of months now and I'm expecting to have it for years to come.
