Despite all the reviews, the lens worked perfectly fine. No grease problems despite working in humid and hot climate, seems it is improved in newer version.Lens build quality and optics is great!Price by the seller is amazing!

This is the perfect starting point for anyone looking to get into macro photography in the EF mount system.I have this paired with a 80D and the images have been fantastic so far. Since it's 100mm it also doubles as a good portrait lens as well. And is pretty fast at 2.8.Only 'down side' is a lack of any auto focus. So you have to manually keep the lens in focus yourself. It's not hard and learning this skill will only help your photography going forward.No regrets picking this one up. Wish I came across this sooner!

Ottica magnifica come qualità. Purtroppo la mancanza di autofocus e stabilizzatore, per me rendeva difficilissimo l'uso a mano libera. Le poche foto che mi sono riuscite a fuoco sono comunque perfette, nitide e contrastate. Il venditore ha accettato senza problemi il reso e mi ha rimborsato l'intera somma. Eccezionale venditore.

Durch den 2:1 Makrobereich ist dieses Objektiv für Münzen oder Briefmarkensammler besonders interessant. Ich habe damit sogar Bilder von Super 8 Filmen mit der EOS R fotografiert. Ist der Film noch gut erhalten, kann man wie im Bild zu sehen ist, viele Details erkennen. Auch für Fernaufnahmen ist das Objektiv geeignet. Bei offener Blende gibt es allerdings eine kleine Randabdunklung (Vignettierung) die etwa bei Blende 4 verschwindet. Durch den fehlenden Autofokus sollte die Kamera allerdings eine gute Scharfeinstellhilfe haben, bzw. eine Lupenfunktion im Display (Live-view) aufweisen.
