Spot Bakes A Cake

The original lift the flap Spot book "Where's Spot" is infinitely better. The quality of this book is inferior, my little one has only read it a few times and the flaps are so damaged and one ripped off altogether, in comparison to the Where's Spot one where she's read it 100 times ( unsupervised as well) and it's all still intact and far more solid. She found this one boring too, no element of surprise on any page and every scene is busy and looks the same so not engaging enough for a younger reader. Spot goes to the farm is much better for example.

Great books for toddlers
Purchased a selection of these for my 22 month old son and he cannot get enough of them, every night we have to read 3 or 4 of them. The flaps make the books a little more interactive for him and I think that's what he loves the most. Looks like more of these are going to be needed in the near future. Highly recommended for any toddlers taking an interest in books

Best of the Spot books
This is arguably the best of the Spot books. None of them are incredibly entertaining for an adult, but if I'm reading it to my daughter, it's the most fun. It also stimulates kids' interest in baking, leading to interesting discussions and making our own cakes 'just like Spot'. It's also pretty funny for a small child and the pictures are lovely.

Great board book
Great board book in typical Spot fashion, bright colours simply illustrations and fun story. My 5 year old has enjoyed reading these himself (mostly) and lift the flap always adds to the fun.Thick board pages with paper flaps, good for little hands to hold without the book flopping around. In this book it is Sam's (Dad's) birthday.

Doesn’t follow a routine for cake making
Disappointing not really to do with baking a cake, shopping, messy mixing, clear up, “decorate” serve to daddy for his birthday. one page for each. Ok if you want some sort of a story but useless if you want a basis to show a child about how to make a cake.
