Big Nose, Big City Paperback – March 12, 2013

I had carbon monoxide poisoning from cars that were left idling at my former workplace. I am now essentially allergic to car exhaust and living life has become extremely challenging. I started an anti-idling campaign in my hometown and these books have become instrumental is educating people about the dangers of car exhaust. I also purchase the movie, Idle Threat by this same author. These tools haveade a world of difference. I bought 10 books to be used in our local schools systems. I am looking to buy 30 more since they have been so helpful. Thanks you George for writing this!!

Why not make the experience with your kids not only enjoyable, but educational.Big Nose, Big City, companion to the documentary film, "Idle Threat," not only takes the reader on a journey through the world of our beloved long haired friends, but it teaches kids a valuable lesson that is easily relatable because of the insight of Cyrano, the bloodhound and his big, sensitive nose. The excitement is magnified by the colorful illustrations and kids can relate easily to the world of dogs. A fun read, and an important read for adults and kids alike.

My girls loved this book because it's told from the dogs' perspective. Children learn that dogs have very sensitive noses and our thoughtless actions can affect them and people negatively. The book raises awareness about toxic air pollution that comes from unnecessary engine idling when cars are parked at the curb. The book is not preaching. It is just telling a nice, sweet story. The pictures are adorable. The text is simple but to the point.
