I am SO glad I got these!!
I'm so glad I bought these. I bought 2, one for each leg. When I first started going to wound care clinic, I messed around with the plastic bag and tape at the top method. What a frustrating hassle.Turns out I'm STILL going to the wound clinic, 8 months later! Of all the stuff I've had to buy (tape, gauze, dressings, cast boots, etc etc) this one protector to wear into the shower has been, hands down, the best ever. Totally worth it.Pros:At first I was nervous about the bottom being slippery when walking. I'm careful, but haven't found it very slippery at all.I wear it over dressings that cannot become wet. In 8 months, never one leak. The material seems sturdy and is well made. I'm careful, and no rips or tears in 8 months of use.The round plastic piece at the top is a smidge awkward, but I got used to it, and it works well to hold the rubbery seal at the top.The rubbery seal at the top is sturdy, yet stretches carefully over dressings and bandages. Just go slow, and walk it over them, not drag or slide.Cons:Not sure if this is actually a con, since it's my situation. But I need help walking the seal over the bandages and dressings; can't put it on or off alone, or would end up dragging off the dressings. But if using for a hard cast, then I'm fairly sure you could do it yourself without help. In which case, not a con at all. :-)Update 2019: I've now been going to wound care a bit over 2 years. For one leg, I only needed protection from wet above the ankle to knee. I wanted to be able to really clean my feet and toes, and keep that pesky athletes from coming back. So I carefully cut off the foot formed part of the plastic from the cast protector. I just fold over the loose plastic and tape it down with a piece of plastic tape, so the water doesn't splash back up onto the wound dressings in my shin. I can scrub my feet and toes, yet protect the areas that need to stay dry. Works great!! By the way, I am still using one of the cast protectors that I bought 2 years ago, and there are no leaks and the top seal is still tight enough. I just make sure to not allow any little folds get at the top edge. I have a clothes pin hanging from a string in the bathroom that I hang it from to dry each time, so no mold or anything grows on it.Highly recommend!

Life savers!
I had purchased 2 of these in 2011 for a double-foot hammer toe surgery and they worked wonderfully. Sadly I didnāt keep them. Fast forward to 2022, I needed one for a different foot surgery. So glad I purchased a new one. I am about 4ā11ā tall and weigh 115 pounds with so ordered the ADULT WIDE SHORT LEG (24ā/61cm length). They slide on pretty easily even over a surgical boot. They fit snuggly on the thigh (the photo/directions on the box depicts the boot fitting on the calf but worked fine on my thigh) and truly do prevent any water getting onto the eg/foot. I definitely recommend them for post-op showering.

Like it says, Seal-Tight
Having gone through several foot surgeries in the past, I had tried every combination of plastic bags, elastic bands, tape and plastic wrap you could think of to take a shower. All I would have to show for it would be a lot of wasted time and a wet foot dressing. This bag works. It slips on and off quick and easy and your foot or leg stays dry. I haven't tried it for bathing yet. That might involve different sealing issues but for showers, it works.User suggestion: When putting it on, remember to pull the bag up as far as you can and then push it back down just slightly. This causes the rubber diaphragm edge to be coned upward so the water flows away from the opening and doesn't puddle up around your leg. The water will slightly puddle around the outer ring piece so make sure to clear any water off the top surface before removing.Sept 17, 2011My previous review was of the short leg bag. I subsequently bought the foot/ankle version as I was having to protect both feet for a period. The only problem I had with the shorter foot ankle model is the opening in the flexible diphragm is a much smaller diameter. Which is logical as it is not expected to slide over the calf. This makes the bag more difficult to pull over your foot. If the user has a wide foot or a foot with a large dressing, the leg bag might be your best choice. Having said that, once it's on, the bag works very well keeping the foot/ankle dry.

For post-ankle surgery
I just had reconstructive ligament surgery on my ankle and ordered the seal-tight protector on my doctor's recommendation (his other patients have loved this product). Currently, my ankle/lower leg is in a splint (bandage, then splint, then cotton gauze, then ace-wrap). I'm glad that I listened to a previous review and got the wide size because the widest part of my splint is 21", which just fits. The gasket/seal works great. The gasket is tight, which is great, but makes it hard to put on by yourself at first. To create a good seal, just make sure to pull it up as high as you want it, and then pull it a little down so the sealing point is "above" and not "tucked into" the gasket. As for length, the protector fits comfortably just below my knee (basically identical to the product image) with my leg being 18" from heel to knee. What is also nice is that you don't get that humid/moisture build up on the inside, like you do when you use a garbage bag and tape. It has worked while sitting in the tub, sitting on a stool, and while standing. I expect the results to be the same once I get my cast put on in a week.

Good product
This is an awkward & extra large product, however, being a short person, having a large boot to wear while taking a shower, this protector works great. Somewhat difficult to get over the boot but once you learn how to maneuver and get it up and over the top of the boot, the seal is tight enough for no leakage to get down inside your foot or boot. The first time I used it getting into the shower you must be careful in how you step cause being plastic it will make you slip & slide. There is no way to avoid this without watching how you step. Practice is the key.

Perfect!!
My spouse has been using this for the past six weeks. It goes on relatively easily (considering it is going over a cast) and it keeps all the water out. I highly recommend this! Wish I would have had it when I had foot surgery. I used a trash bag to protect my cast. This protector is far superior to that method!!

En general bien
Sirvió su propósito, siento un poco delgado el material y suda un poco al usarlo, pero en general bien

Works Very Well
I have used this a few times now and my cast continues to remain dry, much better than taping a garbage bag to my leg and I can do this on my own. I would highly recommend.

Fits brilliantly, not a drop of water gets through and ...
It has made the difference between me being able to have a shower or not for 6 weeks following hammer toe surgery! Fits brilliantly, not a drop of water gets through and is easy to get on and off. After surgery I asked the surgeon if I could use it and she said yes providing it was an official product. I told her it was a Seal tight. She asked how much it cost - She was amazed how much cheaper it was on Amazon! Definitely recommend.
