I have been fighting heartburn for decades and I had to stop taking the OTC medicine, since they found that the secondary effects are pretty bad. Because of the pandemic I had been unable to see my gastroenterologist and have my 3 yr endoscopy, so I was getting even sore throat and was desperate, so looking into the natural products available in Amazon I ran into a review of someone saying that even the sore throat disappeared. I was sceptic, but gave it a try, and I was amazed at how well it worked. I have stopped taking Nexium altogether (which I only took occasionally, anyway). I have had many gastro problems in the last few years. I have severe chronic GERD, a hernia inside of my stomach and I am recovering from Esophagitis. If i ate something that was to greasy or spicy that created a lot of stomach acid my hernia would hurt decently bad. Famotadine or omeprazole would help but never helped eliminate the pain completely. I was looking for something to help heal and deal with some of the symptoms i was having.Pretty much no bad side affects from gastro comfort. This has helped both my throat and my stomach, It took a few weeks to fully take affect but now i have very little problems with my hernia, and my throat is feeling much better. I rarely experience pain from my hernia even if i do eat something like burgers or pizza. However i do not eat bad food all the time and i still am taking Famotadine in addition to gastro comfort. I take one pill of gastro comfort a day a few hours before dinner, and because it works so well I'm down from 2 Famotadine a day to 1 a day, which i take a 30 min before dinner.

I was so distraught when Now Foods discontinued Ulcetrol but Now Supplements, Gastro Comfort, Plus Mastic Gum, Aloe Vera and Slippery Elm, 60 Veg Capsules work even better! I've had stomach issues for years, take great probiotics and still need something extra occasionally. Take these as recommended and I they work wonderfully. I have gastritis, and most days I am dealing with some degree pain in my stomach that typically radiates to my sides, my back, and my chest. I've been taking PPIs for 7 months now, which was seemingly the only treatment my GI doc could offer - and while it does help a little bit, I could tell my stomach wasn't actually healing despite the meds and my changes in diet. I want to get off the PPIs in the worst way, and decided to try this.Within a few weeks of taking it my stomach pain gradually disappeared, and I was finally able to cut my PPI dose in half - and it was shockingly effortless. I also have managed to stop taking antacids. This supplement has truly exceeded my expectations.The first few days I took this it seemed to make me feel like I had heartburn shortly after, but I powered through it, and I no longer experience this. I haven't otherwise noticed any side effects. It also doesn't seem to matter whether or not I take it with food.I started to think that maybe gastritis was going to be something I would have to live with forever, and now I feel like there's hope. Highly recommend.[Update] I'm now on my 3rd bottle. I stopped taking it for a few weeks and referred pain began to come back, unfortunately. Im not sure if consistent treatment will actually eventually cure me, but regardless, it still does for me what PPIs and antacids couldn't do. I still highly recommend.
