NECA Aliens - Series 6 Amanda Ripley Torrens Space Suit Action Figure (7" Scale)

The NECA replica of Amanda Ripley (Ellen Ripley's daughter) from the game ALIEN: Isolation is essentially a repainting of the existing Nostromo environmental suits; although the garment is described as a 'compression suit' and is identical to the Nostromo issue for the movie ALIEN with two small amendments. The environmental glove controls located at the waist on the front of the garment differ from the Nostromo issue, and the handgun Ripley has is also different, but other than this, its essentially the same suit. IMPORTANT note for those of you attempting to get the helmet on. I strongly advise you to remove the head (it is on a peg) and then split the helmet into its upper and lower parts. Then install the lower part on the shoulders, pressing it into place very carefully then replace the head. Then attach the upper part of the helmet and attach the communications and oxygen lines in that order. The suit comes without a rubber-band holster for the sidearm, so you will either have to display the figure with or without it being held. An the accompanying image I've shown the Alien: Isolation suit alongside the Nostromo one.

Another cool figure from neca's alien range, this is Amanda Ripley from the alien isolation game. Not much can be said about this figure that hasn't already been said about the other containment suit figures in the range, apart from the head this is the exact same figure with the exact same helmet but painted in the isolation colour scheme, saying that it is an amazing paint job and different to the other containment suits in this lovely yellow colour. The only difference (besides the colours) in these containment suits are the head sculpts, Amanda's head sculpt is good, the paint job is faultless too. I'm not sure just how accurate the overall sculpt is to the game as to be honest I got bored of the game very quickly but I know how damned good neca are at these kind of things so I'm happy to take their word for it. Overall it's a good figure, nothing we haven't seen before but different enough to keep it interesting. If you are collecting the movie aliens only then this figure may not it the mustard but taking into account just how amazing the aliens isolation xenomorph is and how well done the jump suit Amanda Ripley is you may just wanna pick this up too, would be a shame to leave her out

a great figure that is often overlooked for not being part of original movie. This figure is based upon Amanda Ripley from the excellent videogame - Alien Isolation. detail and paintwork are great. comes with a handgun not seen in the other Nostromo crew sets. The only criticism is the likeness being different from the game but the helmet distorts and reflects slightly anyway. This figure is often considerably cheaper than the other alien figure and was my first purchase before dipping collecting the original film crew.

Fantastic figure and great detailing. The helmet however is a bit of a nightmare to get on. So much so I had to glue it into place. That said though I'd thourghly recommend this figure
